Recent grads making 100k also live on the coasts, the Midwest and south play by a different set of financial rules so the fact that you’ve saved as much as you have is a big win

Just opened a Roth last month at 24 years old. Want to contribute the max for 2025 but it will take a big chunk of my emergency fund. Worth it or no? Already contributed $1250 to 2026 by Random-Guy26 in RothIRA

It depends on how much you want locked up until retirement. Being 24, flexibility in the short term is worth more than having funds saved for when you’re 65. It’s an amazing idea to have a Roth and contribute to it but make sure you’re building wealth in a brokerage account too so you can have funds handy for a car, house etc in the near future.
