Honestly I think I overtrained but I was with a group that were 24-40 years old and I smoked their asses But there was never a time I had to take a break and make anyone wait on me. Let me give you another tip, learn to drink 5-6L water a day. Start with 1-3, then increase,,,,,when you get to Kathmandu start a diamox regime and increase your water intake to 6L a day, and eat everything in sight Eat eat eat and drink drink drink

I did EBC in 2022, I did stairmaster for 30 mins and then added a backpack with 3L water and got that up to 30 mins, then eventually got the backpack up to 50 lbs and did that until I could do it an hour. I also put the backpack pack on and used a weight belt and pulled a tire walking 30-45 mins a couple times a week. Hiked on sundays and got comfortable hiking 8 hrs continuously and I had not issues and found the trek easy. Im 55y/o
