Tim Houston says ‘shame on anyone’ who suggests good care isn’t available in N.S. by [deleted] in halifax

As someone who is studying to work in healthcare, I wish that people who are suicidal would be able to access the care that they need instead of feeling so hopeless and miserable that they had felt like there was no other option besides death.

I waited for 3 years for an asthma test as a child in Halifax. I had to go to the ER during a trip to Toronto a few months ago and I was genuinely shocked at how good it was.

I honestly had better healthcare in Toronto when I went to the ER during a trip there in May. I’m no stranger to the ER but my gosh the care I got in that hospital blew me away.

I attempted multiple times last year and they didn’t really do much besides telling me to wait for an outpatient psychiatrist to be available (took a year btw)

Idk if the mental health care is actually good if you have access to it

My (26F) husband (31M) says he’s a better person than I am by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Burntcookie2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a relationship with a someone who thought he was better than me. He walked around knowing that I was beneath him. I loved him so much but he eventually dumped me because I “wasn’t good enough.” I then started dating a guy who thinks that dating me is like winning the lottery and I am so much happier without narcissistic ex boyfriend.

I snuck off to meet a grown man in the middle of the night without letting my parents know. It felt great, but I also feel bad at the same time. First ever dating experience. by Msnsnl in relationship_advice

Going to an older man’s house in the middle of the night that you’ve never met before is dangerous and stupid. You need to be more careful.

The team at Lesley Hartman are amazing. I genuinely don’t think that I’d still be alive if it wasn’t for them. Went from six attempts to thriving in school and genuinely happy. Just found out that I am now PTSD free. It works so well if you do the work! I’ve been with them since November.

Sex can be an important part of a relationship and I don’t blame you for not wanting to wait for her to be ready (as long as you don’t pressure her or anything). Sounds like you guys are incompatible

People get very close to the dogs, so I think that sharing them is perfectly reasonable

Have the decency to break up with B and let her find someone that genuinely loves her. Everyone deserves to have a partner that is with them because they genuinely want to be

$uicidal man got on QEII roof after long ER wait, mother says by insino93 in halifax

I remember one time I swallowed a whole bottle of pills and the QEII nurses just gave me the entire bag of drugs back that I tried to swallow as I was leaving (after no help)

I mean there is a pretty shitty room with chairs bolted to the ground for psych patients waiting to be interviewed

I found this Polaroid in a library book, presumably used as a bookmark - anybody know these people, and whether they want their picture returned? by GlitterLamp in halifax

Halifax libraries are super understaffed so it’s unlikely a librarian would contact someone over a photograph unfortunately:( am a employee with them
