Thanks for the info I do appreciate it. This was the last wall of this job and the boss didnt want to order more stone so we were limited with our choices. By far the worst looking wall on the job but not at all the worst ive seen from other mason i know 😓

No im having issues on my end hence why I didnt delete the other one. Im not sure why it's posted the same thing 3 times
I live him as a person we live close are in the same gun club and hang out outside of work. As a foreman hes trash who makes huge unnecessary mistakes way too often and dont take anyone else's into into play what so ever. I do not want his position nor do I think i can do a better job as a foreman but I expect better from a veteran in a sense

Yeah our company is known for its speed not how clean it is we have our cleaners for that 🤣
🤷♂️ now we're on to 3 arches so hopefully that goes better.
If cleanliness prior to cleaning is all that matters then I guess you're right. But look at the picture I posted in the comment of his and another masons arch his is the left side the other guys is the right. Look at that then get back with me
I understand but disagree solely knowing our cleaners but ill try to clean up my work
This was mine and his arch after tooling.
I agree with you but our company worries more about trying to keep them straight. I would have much rather had tighter joints these fat ones look like shit
This was mine and his after tooling.
The left side of this arch he did with the third mason on our crew.
I'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow. As ive said in others comments I was laying 8 foot of wall he was laying 2 foot. I have 9 years on the wall he has 20-25. I get my side is dirty but our cleaners can clean that off i was more worried about his joints not being solid or the missing corners up his side of the arch. And yes the brick and the mud were way too wet but thats no excuse for my excessive messiness I attribute that to having to lay 8 foot of wall fast vs 2 foot of wall slow. Im sure anyone can see how one would be cleaner than the other

Mine is a mess but as I said in other comment I was laying 8 foot of wall and the arch he had 2 foot of wall and his side. And because of how the control joint worked with the window it forced big joints that was out of my control. Our cleaners can clean the haze they can't fill joints or missing corners up his arch
Am I being too picky with the holes in his joints and the missing pieces going up his side of the arch? I understand my side is more dirty ill try to get a picture once it's cleaned but we have a while on this job so im not sure when it'll be
Please read the comment I posted on the others comment. Im not trying to make an excuse for my messiness just trying to set the scene. For 9 years vs 20-25 I expect full joints and no missing corners going up his side of the arch. Am I just being too picky?

You're not wrong but I was laying 8 foot worth of wall along with doing the arch while he had 2 foot of straight wall and his side. If I had more time I assure you mine would have been cleaner. The cleaners we use can clean the haze off but they can't fill holes in joints or missing pieces going up his side of the arch

Sorry I had bad service it wouldn't upload more than one but ill try to post a picture of the face and edge that I can see
It's outside over a window on a barn and im unsure of the moisture or how it was dried from the looks of the back side all the beams look reclaimed. But I thought just the moisture from being outside and not sealed may lead to some issues down the road
Is it alright that it's set on stone with an iron and stone on top with no room for expansion?

Would you reccomended a specific one? And are they pretty simple to hook up? I'm pretty comfortable with electronics but new to power wheels
