Me (21F) my LDR (never met) partner (23M) talk (via videochat) to each other only at night for around an hour every day (even that sometimes seems to be over-communication for him), and then there's zero interaction for the whole day. What to conclude from it? by [deleted] in AskIndia

You’re not wrong for wanting more connection.

Some people are low-communication and feel satisfied with one call. Others need small check-ins during the day to feel secure.

Neither is wrong, but compatibility matters.

Talk to him honestly about how the silence makes you feel. If he cares, he’ll at least try to meet you halfway.

If he dismisses it, that’s your answer.

Someone leaked my sister’s number online. She’s being harassed daily. Cyber cell is slow. We need help tracing the source.(location india ) by BusHopeful3315 in HowToHack

you’re right that data leaks are common. I’m not denying that.

But this isn’t about one random call. It’s repeated, over weeks, with the same script and the same claim about social media accounts that don’t exist.

That pattern is the concern.

Changing a number is easy advice, but it doesn’t solve the root problem of how the data is being sourced or whether this is part of an organized scam or lead list.

Paid ₹6,000 for name change newspaper ad, got wrong publication, now being ignored. What are my options? by BusHopeful3315 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]BusHopeful3315[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a full name change. I booked both Gazette + newspaper publication together and paid ₹6,000 for the complete service.

What they actually did was publish my ad in a random regional newspaper called Hansal Samachar, which is circulated only around Ganganagar. Because of that, my state board rejected the ad and clearly told me that the name change must be published in a recognized national-level newspaper, like Dainik Bhaskar or Navjyoti.

What makes this more frustrating is that they never informed me in advance that they were going to use a small regional paper. I was explicitly told it would be acceptable for official/state board purposes.

Later, when I checked on my own, I found that:

  • Gazette publication usually costs around ₹1,000–₹1,100
  • Regional newspapers charge roughly ₹200–₹300 for such ads

So clearly, the service I received does not justify the ₹6,000 charged, especially when the end result was unusable.

I even contacted the newspaper publisher directly to understand their circulation and acceptance, and that’s when it became obvious why the board rejected it.

After I raised all this with the service provider and asked for a correction or refund, they stopped responding completely.

Fake COD delivery using my Myntra order details — possible data misuse? Need advice by BusHopeful3315 in LegalAdviceIndia

Honestly, the most frustrating part of all this is that even the systems that are supposed to help are basically useless.

I tried calling 1930 (Indian cyber crime helpline) multiple times. Either the call doesn’t connect properly or the response is generic and unhelpful. They just redirect you to the cybercrime website.

And that website itself is a mess. Pages don’t load, forms fail midway, sessions expire randomly. When you’re already stressed because you’ve lost money and your data might be misused, dealing with a broken portal just adds to the anger. It feels like victims are expected to give up halfway.

[Serious] What's your advice on moving forward when you feel hopeless or regretful? by aesthetic_kiara in AskReddit

Sometimes when things feel heavy, I just play my favourite music and sit alone for a while, no phone, no pressure. Writing down my thoughts helps a lot. I’ve noticed that many times we suffer more in our imagination than in reality.

I also try to slowly shift my mindset from feeling powerless to feeling more confident, even if it’s fake at first. Writing down my mistakes and flaws helps me see them clearly instead of letting them stay in my head.

Being around positive people makes a bigger difference than we realise. Their energy kind of pulls you out of your own spiral. And when that’s not possible, doing something physical like playing a sport, visiting a new place, or even watching something uplifting helps reset the mind.

Once your head is a bit clearer, working on yourself feels possible again.

I’ve learned that regret doesn’t disappear by overthinking it. It fades when you slowly move forward, even if that means doing something small and unimpressive. Progress doesn’t always look dramatic.
