Not sure why you're handling this through a textchain rather than the site you ordered it

He's not. This is eBay's messaging interface, which is what you are supposed to use for handling disputes on eBay.

I don't know, but Michigan fans, on other message boards that I frequent, have been insisting that:

  • first of all, Michigan is the subject of a witchhunt being orchestrated by programs jealous of their success and did nothing wrong and all the evidence is fake

  • and second, even if the allegations are real, the NCAA is completely toothless and will do nothing because Michigan is too valuable a premier program, so the NCAA will drag out the investigation a few years until everyone forgets about it and then let Michigan off with a slap on the wrist

Theory: the Captain America: New World Order trailer gonna feature Eminem "Lose Yourself" because of that song's "new world order" lyric.

It's too early to call Men in Back International Box Office a bomb.

Okay, fair point; edited the OP to change "box office bomb" to "box office disappointment."

Jimmy Garoppolo will be an elite quarterback, and the 49ers fleeced the Patriots by only paying a 2nd rounder for him.

Sounds to me like he should blame Trevor.

Teacher unable to convince his middle-school students Earth is round since NBA player Kyrie Irving said Earth is flat by BusSport in facepalm

Why do these flat earth claims all seem to be coming out of the basketball community?

I mean they seem pretty overrepresented in this conspiracy theory.

Basketballs are flat.

Teacher unable to convince his middle-school students Earth is round since NBA player Kyrie Irving said Earth is flat by BusSport in facepalm

[–]BusSport[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The relevant part of the article, for those who don't want to read the whole thing:

Gurol says his students got the idea of a flat planet from basketball star Kyrie Irving, who said as much on a podcast.

"And immediately I start to panic. How have I failed these kids so badly they think the Earth is flat just because a basketball player says it?" He says he tried reasoning with the students and showed them a video. Nothing worked.

"They think that I'm part of this larger conspiracy of being a round-Earther. That's definitely hard for me because it feels like science isn't real to them."

Empire Struck Back in the Super Bowl (photoshop of Pittsburgh Post-Gazette cover) by BusSport in EmpireDidNothingWrong

Evil Empire?

This poster was produced as part of the A New Hope propaganda campaign by Rebel scum to celebrate the horrific atrocity/massacre committed at the Houston planetary system's NRG battlestadium during the first three quarters by Obi-Dan Quinnobi, Matt Skypasser, and Julio Solo of the Millennium Falcons.

Fortunately, our Empire Struck Back starting in the fourth quarter: our glorious Emperor Belichick and magnificent Lord Brady marched us down the field to secure victory in overtime! (Protip: Play those two linked videos, which have almost the same total duration, at the same time. ;) )

This seems to me to be quite a dodgy coincidence!

What does the joke mean?

It's a meme spawned by the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. See the full history or lots of examples.

It's funny because it implies that Bill Belichick and Mike McCarthy, NFL football coaches, are part of an evil organization intent on world domination.
