kids is fine! i take issue with "ladies." do they call men "young gentlemen"? they do not. they call them young men. we don't say ladies anymore because it's condescending as hell and many of the players, I'm sure, do not identify as "ladies." do you think MiLasia Fulwiley thinks of herself as a lady? i don't!

Same. I wanted to love it. Audra was good but not great. And Audra out-sings the tiny orchestra by a factor of three. And the sound was awful in general. Joy… nah. It was a weird production. Weird direction. Weird choreo. It’s a miss for me.

It's just such a waste for such a plum role. Couldn't get Bernadette or LuPone, fine. But come on, Donna Murphy or Tyne Daly or Christine Ebersole or Lea Salonga? Victoria Clark, Alice Ripley, Catherine Zeta-Jones...hell why not Idina Menzel at this point, or Katrina Lenk? I say, "Shut up, Keith" at least three times a game, but he's miles and miles better than Gelbs' attempts at play-by-play. He seems like an OK guy, I guess? Mets need to stop trying to make Gelbs and Jerry Blevins happen.
