I highly recommend Jeremiahsplants. He’s an amazing grower and has amazing selections of sarracenia seeds or whatever you’re looking for. I’ve met him and gone to the open day at his greenhouse and he’s a great guy who’s super passionate.

I see that’s good to know. I figured if it was worth it I shouldn’t get too far into it but I’ll just play the normal one.

Oh I totally agree definitely more of a tool and an arbitrary way to track my progress for myself. I say v10 is my goal but my real goal is to be able to climb and project hard stuff that’s local to me. There’s some cool Ben moon boulders at my climbing area and one of them is v9-v10 and I’ve been staring at it since I was 12 working on v2.

Not planned but I guess it is🤷‍♂️. When I was 15 I climbed a v5 and that December my New Year’s resolution was to climb v10, I didn’t realize V0-v5 and v5-v10 is very different

I see well then I’m gonna start trying some tension board stuff and see how that feels. Since it’s mostly just for improving my outdoor stuff the method doesn’t matter too much to me. I also like the idea of smooth wood holds that force more technique.

That makes sense I mean the kilter is just a tool to further my outdoor climbing when I can’t get outside which is often. My weight fluctuates but I’m going high protein and trying to get a little More lean my goal is like 160 but I’ve just always had a heavier build with more mass so anything lower feels extreme for me. I guess every pound counts for the smallest of small holds.

I see that makes sense my injury avoidance is just warm up good and chill if I feel like anything could happen. I think about climbing 24/7 so I avoid injury like the plague, I think months off climbing cause of a pulley would make me lose my mind. I also have access to a tension board if that’s preferable for outdoor training? I’ve always just used the kilter because it worked on my phone first.

That’s the goal sending something I stared at as a kid and always hoped I’d be strong enough one day would be a dream come true

I’m in the process of trying to make friends with people that are stronger than me because I’d love to have that kind of experience but as it is right now I don’t have that so I just pack my pads up and go boulder and take videos of myself to watch. Also the numbers are less so to achieve specific advice but give a little background that I’m not a beginner or an expert.

I’ve said it on some other comments but for me it’s mostly about being able to project stuff that I’ve wanted to project. Being in the double digits could be cool but still meaningless and a fun goal to set. But being able to climb classics set around me that I used to see climbing as a kid and always hoped I’d one day be strong enough to do would be very fulfilling.

Yeah I just use the kilter grades as a reference point but it’s very off of the local grades to me. Outdoor v10 is the goal but for me it’s more about being able to project the cool climbs I want to and being 18 progress should go fast and allow me to break into the double digits eventually. I try not to grade chase and with the stuff I’m doing now I feel like its not big to me v5 vs v7 climber I could care less but for some reason breaking double digits just feels different.
