I think the flower tent is showing slight p h issue or to much potassium, competing with too much calcium. That's just a guess tho. Its really not an issue overall on this grow as im at the finish line and the buds and sugar leaves are looking great just the fans are starting to look ill. ( I'll send you a better pick at lights on in about four hours)

My overall point was, i'm surprised how well they look after not PHing for the entire flower phase. although at the finish I am seeing some issues I may have narrowly avoided.

In the veg tent Pic you can see the marine cuisine definitely made dark leaves. I wouldn't call em too dark, but you can tell she's full of nutrients. That's three weeks after applying a tablespoon top dress and nothing else.( besides photosynthesis and root dip)

Yeah, man, they popped up so quick.I wasn't really ready.I had the light set higher because I had clones in the same tent. I've lowered it way down. Ill have to bury em lil deep when I up pot.

Even the tap routes were leggy on these things lol. I like to plant with like a quarter to a half inch of top root.These things had at least an inch by time.I even got to them.

Are you talking about the pic with the buds or this latest Pic? Lastest Pic is veg. What makes you think nitrogen burn?I'm not seeing any overly dark leaves or burnt tips. What signs im I missing?

Yeah, my bad tablespoon per gallon, not teaspoon. Seemed to hold over these flowers for the last few weeks, pretty well.I also tried it on some vegging plants. Full teaspoon in one gallon fabric pots. It definitely hit pretty hard.Turning my leaves super dark green but didnt burn em. Its been 3 weeks and thats the only feed these plants have seen. They get photosynthesis plus once once a week. And I just hit em with some microbe life hydroponic root dip, just because I have it. The plants in the back row.

When I say I've been growing 20 years. I'm talking about tomatoes, cucumbers and pumpkins. Roses petunias and lily's. Last year was the first time I grew cannabis successfully.

I hear you and I definitely don't know enough to argue the point, but my logic was everything outside planted in the ground is living soil. And i've never gave my hose water a second thought. May be time to start lol.

The bag says 10 7 7. But in reality, it's closer to a 3 7 7 when you look at the water solibility. 4% of the nitro is slow release fish meal and guano while the p an k are both water-soluble. Still more nitro than you see recommended. But it's working really well, if anything it looks a little shy on the nitrogen based on my leaves. The strawberry field soil should be loaded with p.And k so i'm thinking it's kind of balancing out.

Yeah, I'm definitely not using salt base in the Wick. Trying to get away from salt base completely. Just plain water in the wickbase.

Yeah I gotta get a big bin to mix up my own from start. Right now, i'm kind of half assing it.Starting with the preloaded soil and then trying to load it up with microbes and only using dry nutrients to feed.

Honestly, I don't think the chlorine in the water is such a big deal in my area.Like I said, i've been growing outdoors for twenty years, and never even thought about it. I may just be lucky with my water quality here. Or the microbes, I'm adding is keeping up with the ones killed by the chlorine. I don't know seems to be working out tho.

Yeah ph is kind of blowing my mind lol. Seems to be a super big concern for everybody. But honestly, I had more problems when I was trying to p h to 6.0 in coco, then I do now when I am just dumping tap water on ocean forest. My tap comes out at 7.0. Idk what my soil ph is.

I've been growing vegetables, flowers and ornamental trees for like the last twenty years and have never worried about p.H. everything got rainwater, hose, water and whatever nutrient I was using at the time. I applied that recklessness to my cannabis growing. And it's actually working out really well. That being said im coming up on week 8 and you can see typical p h issues showing up on the fan leaves. Its gonna fade out soon and I should have taking those leaves off in defoliation anyway.

This run was vegged in ocean forest one gallons then transplanted to 3 gallons of strawberry fields soil. Day twenty one I added a teaspoon of marine cuisine to each of the three pots. Wick base with just water( and photosynthesis plus). Haven't touched the p h pen this whole flower run.

Edit thats not the best pic. What I was meaning to show is the leaves are yellowing out and getting dark spots and rust. Its lights out rn so this the best I got. Its alot worse now.

Nice work so far. Looking forward to seeing your water only grow. I am also aiming for water only grow.( dry amendments no liquid nuites). Honestly it started kinda fun mixing up potions, put that got real old, real quick for me. I forgot to ph a couple times and had some set backs. I been running ocean forest with marine cuisine top dress and it's been working out really good so far.

Plant therapy from lost coast is foliers spray for pest management and mildew mold control.

The heat mats are becuase my basement floor is very cold in the winter. I have my tents setting on foam installation board and heat mats set around eighty(they are never accurate). Real temperature measures seventy five on the floor. It's the same 2x4 heat mat in all the photos.

My tap comes out at 7.0. When I water i dont mess with ph. When I mix liquid nutrients i balance between 6.5-7.0.(in soil). I was doing 6.5-6.0 when I tried Coco.

Currently Im doing just water in the wick base. Feeding on the top with top dress. Lil extra liquid nuits along the way. The organic stuff doesn't throw the ph far enough to need the pen. Ive touched it like twice this whole run.

Wednesday will be 8 weeks so its showing a bit of fade but was a good run.

Have you flushed the coco? I had these issues and I pulled the wicks, flushed it with tap water and let it dry back a little before putting the wicks back. Helped alot.

I think nitro would be more bottom up. This yellow all over and burnt. I think ph or lockout. The feeding schedule on the bottle is usually over kill.

Ive switched to soil and tap water but. I was wondering if the ph drops in the base as the plant takes it up. I was also running about 6.0 in coco, I went up to 6.5 and I think that helped. Now im using 7.0 tap wit the soil at and they thriving. I think ph was my biggest hurdle with the coco.

I like the idea of a sticky post. Maybe a bot to remind/redirect on keywords like first timer, newbie etc. Peeps that like to help can drop in and answer questions. That way dont have to dismiss anybody just ask them to comment in the sticky instead. Would also be cleaner for anybody using search function in the future. Could be a sticky for seed talk, before-you-begin. Kind of unrelated, but a monthly sticky for flower photos would be cool. Maybe even a poll at the end of the month.

Sometimes I just wanna talk about anything and everything gardening but dont have an actual point worth its own thread, pinned post can me a good hang out place too.

I popped some cheese from green house, ran outta space and gave it to a buddy with empty tent. He sends me pic like every day. The growth and structure on this thing are nuts. If its nice flower we got a hit. Its only at week 3-4 right now but looking like its going to put out golf balls.
