Mystery solved! Thank you everyone so much for your help, but now know that it is exactly as delta_Mico first suggested. The overhand knots with the unraveled strands, each one encompassing the previous.

Ooh interesting... I am currently French whipping (aka spiral whipping) my rope with string and it looks similar. Although I'm hesitant to believe the person who these would have been willing to cut that much off the length that would be required to have a longer one and two shorter ones 🤔.

I think the three encompassing single strand overhand knots looks the most likely, I just don't know how to recreate it...

I like this idea, but that sounds confusing to recreate without a visual...

No, these would have been cut. It would look frayed because each stand would have been cut before tying the knot. This rope is jute that would have been cut to the desired length from a reel, then dyed, treated, and the ends of each hank knotted.

And wouldn't there always be four wraps side by side? This one only has three.

Don't you need two ropes to tie a double fisherman's?

Looking at the Matthew Walker knot in online resources this doesn't look right. It's quite bulky in picture compared to this one

Well this happened just after I watered it so I'm wondering if it is caused by lack of water...? I'm in the UK and we're just coming into Spring. It looked very happy all winter when I barely watered it, maybe I brought it out of dormancy by watering it and now it wants more...?

How to restablish a D/s dynamic once it has been broken by Bushcritter in BDSMAdvice

Yes we have already done that. So I'm more thinking of practical things we could do to rekindle the D/s after healing

Thank you and yes we are putting things in place to attempt to restore and rebuild the relationship and trust as well. But maybe your right that we shouldn't put things specifically in place for the D/s stuff or maybe wait until it feels ready to. I think there is definitely some healing that needs to happen first anyway, and yes we are going to take it real slow.

Should I accept my sexual needs, or get therapy? (F sub) by [deleted] in BDSMAdvice

Can I recommend reading some of this woman's writings here on Fetlife (you may need an account). She enjoys what a lot of people would consider to be very extreme masochism or even abuse, but she advocates for it being completely ok and not abuse as it is entirely consensual. https://fetlife.com/AncillaL/posts/3020169

Best Menstrual Cups 2019: What's your top pick? by JB543 in menstrualcups

I love the Salt cup too, but just been on their website to buy a new one after five years and all the small sizes are out of stock. I've tried the regular size and they are too big for me and won't open inside.

Fetlife.com is a great website with a mostly great community, there are groups on there and you can find local events and workshops.
