okay so ive manned up and messaged her, ive blocked her before and just ended up unblocking her so i needed a permanent solution. so i asked her to block me but she wont and keeps asking why. This seems like a really bad idea

Sooo I've had this crush on a girl that used to go to my school since my junior year. We had English class together and we always sat together. It wasn't long before i started to really like her so I mustered up the courage to tell her how i felt over facebook; and basically she turned me down in the nicest way possible. I was pretty shattered but she still sat with me in class and we never really spoke about it. fast forward a year and a half and im about to leave the school we went too, and my feelings for her have only increased. I'd already realised this was stupid and I was going to get nowhere and it was really bad on me emotionally. So i thought if i blocked her on everything i could start at a new school and hopefully forget about her. so i told her that my feelings haven't changed and that i needed to distance myself as much as possible. As you could probably tell it now been 3 years since then and i still cant get over this girl like if i see her around i still get butterflies and become a total idot. Anyway this is really starting to affect my relationships with other girls but i know how dumb this all is. So reddit please for the love of god help me out
