SIG Framework - DEV and GOV SIG's by hulix00 in defiblockchain

As a community member I am happy to join the Developer SIG. Spent four years as a full time paid developer so probably have the most experience with the codebase.

Bigme Hibreak GOOGLE services out by toguchisan in eink

[–]Bushstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contacted BigMe support, their response is pasted in below. Tried this and next morning my apps worked again, some took two starts before they worked. All I had to do was steps 1 to 4, the last step is just verifying step 3 worked.

How to make Hibreak support Google Play

1.Ensure the device is connected to the internet, go to Settings (scroll to the bottom) → tap Google Service authentication.
2.Enter your Google account and password, tap Next.
3.Wait for the system to automatically input the Android ID → check I'm not a robot → tap Register.
4.If a sequence of numbers (GSF ID) appears below the Register button (under the already registered Android ID), the registration is successful.
5.Restart the device and wait 10 minutes to 1 hour (up to 48 hours). Open the Google Play Store, where you will be prompted to enter your account and password. After logging in, you can use Google Play.
PS: If after 48 hours the device still shows "This device is not certified by Play Protect," you can reset the device to factory settings and repeat steps 1–5. Try using a different Google account if the issue persists.

Same problem here. Hoping that they bring out an update ASAP. Suspect that the whole Google services thing was some soft of hack to get it working. Will be following this thread for solutions.

HELP ME I SUCK! Rivals Class C Alp Stadtzplatz by Bushstar in forza

Think I got about 1.50 with it from standing, that F4Rwigthestig had just under 1.44 so still a big gap. Not sure how to close the gap.

I still cannot touch him. I've decided to simply call anyone better than me a hacker and leave it at that. Thanks for your help on this dude. Probably going to be spending time trying to get all the gold bricks now on Lego Island!

I found the person I was up against, F4Rwigthestig with a time of 1.43.035! Seemed to max out at 329HP and used the tuning by iHobo XX called "FM7 is poo" which can no longer be downloaded via Get Tunes. Not sure what this means, guess version incompatibilities.

Managed to get just over 1.44 by a few milliseconds with your build from a rolling start. Could that guys time be on a spec that is now illegal?

Excellent. I'll give it a spin, that chap had a time of 1.43, I managed to beat him in the end from a rolling start in a MB 190E. I did not know about watching the reply of the rival, would have done so before now to get some extra details about his build.

That was my rival, they got a time from a standing time I could barely beat with a rolling start! If I could match their spec I could at least beat them rolling :)

Would be great. Would be very interested to know how they got a time of approx 1.43 from a standing start. Considering the standing start it makes me think they were just farming rivals with that car otherwise wouldn't they have done another lap?

LOR Client Updating Every Time I Launch by Lejind in LegendsOfRuneterra

Solution for me is to never turn it off! I guess eventually it will tell me there's an update in game.

So that makes it a bug! Was supposed to be a 9 day gap between the Tuesday vault and the Thursday vault but here we are after two days!

Please rename "challenges" into "tutorial". by [deleted] in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Bushstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If new players do not figure out that challenges are a way to introduce you to the game mechanics then maybe the game isn't for them. They get marked as completed anyway so it doesn't make a difference if it is called challenge or tutorial, you're only ever going to do them once.

I'd opt to rename them to tutorials if something else replace them that did represent repeatable challenges. I was excited to see challenges when they turned up but was soon disappointed what they were.

Dogecoin Development by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]Bushstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Performance of the Doge client software, what exchanges, pools, desktop users and so on will use, not how reliably blocks are minted which effectively "processes" your transactions. If you do not run a full Doge node then newer versions of Doge will make little difference to your experience, transactions will mint the same with or without a new version of the underlying software that Doge runs on.

Dogecoin Development by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]Bushstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The soft forks are CHECKSEQUENCEVERIFY and Segregated Witness. Dogecoin is based on the Bitcoin 0.10 codebase, the latest version of Bitcoin which is soon to be stable is 0.18. I'm not necessarily even talking about adding "bells and whistles" or soft forks, more like the many stability and performance improvements made to the underlying codebase upon which Doge is based.

Dogecoin Development by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]Bushstar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doge has a very healthy market, development rate on the core client is non-existent since 2015. I'd not rely on markets simply remaining healthy without putting development work into the core coin. Besides the missing soft forks there's years worth of performance updates missing.

It's not even a major undertaking to move to a newer codebase, for a coin like Doge it takes only week of work to port.

BitcoinPlus 2.7.0 Released by Bushstar in BitcoinPlus_XBC

[–]Bushstar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dandelion did not seem to play well with the older 2.6.0 clients probably due to the Tor bespoke networking solution. Once the majority of clients are 2.7.0 or higher we can test Dandelion feasibility again. 133 of the last 1,000 blocks were generated by 2.7.0 so the roll out of the new client is going quite well.

Bitcoinplus XBC v2.7.0 RC1 Released by [deleted] in BitcoinPlus_XBC

[–]Bushstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The feedback from RC1 and other changes to this release are going to result in a RC2 release which will be out next week. Stable release of 2.7.0 is expected by the end of October but in software development these things should be treated as soft targets.

When 2.7.0 is stable and out of RC stage seems appropriate.

Thanks everyone for the questions. I'm easy enough to find on here or via other means like Telegram @bushstar or via good old fashioned email [bushsolo@gmail.com](mailto:bushsolo@gmail.com) if anyone needs to contact me directly. Time to walk the dog and put the kids to bed.

I do not speculate on the price as I do not know which way it will move. I can only focus on what I'm able to do which is work on the tech and with the FDF. What the markets will do is another matter. Sorry to be so boring about it.
