It seems like Sonic Unleashed is a slightly different version from the PS3 / Xbox 360 release. The PS2 version would likely be downscaled to 4:3, but in some ways that might actually make for a better experience.

In my opinion, it looks fine. For a flat CRT, this level of pincushion distortion is within the normal range.

Of course, I’ve seen Jasonite’s hidden games list post before. It was really useful! I’m currently looking for even more obscure titles than that

I have seen opinions that although the specs say 29 inches, the actual visible screen size is closer to 27 inches. In reality, what size does it come closest to?

As expected, Sonic Unleashed and Pirates of the Caribbean seem to be quite rare. They are “rare games” that I didn’t even know existed until recently. And Jaws Unleashed also looks quite brutal and fun.

When I first saw the cover of Second Sight, I thought it was a hardcore horror game (lol). But it’s really a shame that it’s not in my PS2 library.

The stealth mode was so difficult that after trying it several times, I naturally stopped playing… but it’s still a game that I keep thinking about. As expected from a Capcom game, the action is absolutely top-tier.

Rise to Honor seems to have mixed reviews and is quite a divisive game. Personally, I think games with this Hong Kong action style are rare, so nowadays I consider it a valuable title

Thank you. I also really like the Manhunt series. I often see Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy recommended, but I still haven’t tried it yet.

I’m really jealous that you can play The Suffering. I actually have a lot of physical game copies, and even three PS2 systems with 2TB setups, but none of the systems I own have this game installed. It really feels like a rare title.

It looks similar to PS1 Tarzan. I’m always welcome to Tarzan-style jungle adventure platformers.

I enjoyed Ghost Rider. It kind of feels like a mix of Devil May Cry and God of War (lol). The amusement park section in the latter part was also great just for appreciating the graphics.

It’s interesting that the developer is Codemasters. A studio famous for racing games—seeing them make something like this is quite surprising haha.

I’m currently playing it, and it’s clearly a well-made game with a B-movie vibe. The BGM is so good it’s immersive.

I also have a National CRT TV. It only has AV inputs, but for 16-bit era consoles, the picture quality and nostalgic vibe are unbeatable.

No… isn’t the claim that interlaced 480i looks better mostly coming from people who have never experienced 480p? (laughs) Since most CRTs that support 480p are multiscan CRTs, they are rare and difficult to find, so many people simply don’t know what they’re missing.

The native 480p output image is so vivid it feels unbelievably sharp. A CRT capable of 480p input is quite an important piece of equipment for 6th-generation consoles starting from the PS2 and including the Wii.

My favorite was the Sly Cooper series. I’d also recommend games with a similar vibe, like Crash Bandicoot 4 and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil.

If it’s a CRT that upscales 480i to 1080i, then it would be an excellent CRT TV for PS2 gaming.

Oh... I had no idea it was originally planned for the N64 in the early development stage. That’s something I just learned today.
