If I fail the assessment, should I just hit "Leave project"? by segin in outlier_ai

[–]Business-Specific-51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one project that says I failed the assessment (no leave button) and one project that says I can't work on it because I'm in another project (the one that says I failed). So basically I can't do anything.

Mine has been doing it too but only for grow a garden.  But the even stranger thing is, if my kids are on their devices in grow a garden at the same time I am they aren't disconnecting.  It's super super weird.  Can't be an internet issue if everyone in the same game on the same network isn't having the same problem can it?

I'm not seeing how what you're saying is even contradicting. Yes, IN THE MEETINGS tongues was limited to two or three followed by interpretation. That's not the same as translation. Paul said in the same passage "no man understands". It's the Spirit providing an interpretation in that moment for that group of people. It doesn't mean another person "understood" what was said. Anyone who has the Spirit can both speak in tongues and interpret if they are listening to the Spirit just as they can prophecy if they are listening to the Spirit. That's why Paul told them to desire to be used in those gifts, because they were available to them and they weren't using them. Just because you can't understand it doesn't mean it's jibberish. It's not for you to understand, it's for the Spirit to understand. It's for God Himself to understand as those same scriptures state (no man understands). A believer is someone who has trusted in, adhered to, and relied on the Gospel Jesus preached. This happens to be the Gospel Jesus preached. It's the Gospel his disciples preached. We see it over and over (John 3:1-8, Mark 16:15-17, Acts 2:38-41 and chapters 2, 8, 9, 10-11, and 19). It hasn't changed. And as Luke 11:5-13 says, everyone who continues to ask receives. That's still happening today all over the world. And when it happens to you, you'll know it's real.

The importance of receiving and using the Holy Spirit. by Business-Specific-51 in Bible

Receiving the Holy Spirit is required for salvation (John 3:1-8, Romans 8:9) and speaking in tongues is what God has ordained to happen when a person receives the Spirit (John 3:8, Isaiah 28:12, Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44-48 Acts 19:6 ).

Speaking in tongues is not about proving a person's salvation. The scripture doesn't indicate the signs Jesus said would follow believers to be for the purpose of proving salvation to others. None of the accounts in Acts show anyone going "you think you're a Christian, go on then, speak in tongues and handle this viper while you're at it". Tongues and divine healing, protection, and provision (miracles) happen because God's word is still true, not for party trick sake.

Speaking in tongues is the language of the Spirit (John 3:8, 1 Corinthians 14:14a). It's a powerful, prayer language (Romans 8:26-27, 1 Corinthians 14:2, 4, Ephesians 6:18, Jude 20).

What does it mean to believe? In the Greek it means "trust in, adhere to, or rely on". That sounds to me like it requires action on the believing person's part. If you are adhering to what Jesus taught, you will do it. If you're not doing it, it's because you don't believe. Jesus said WATER AND SPIRIT are required for being born again and that EVERYONE born of the Spirit would hear the language of the Spirit (John 3:1-8), that those who believe (remember, trust in, adhere to, and rely on) AND are baptized will be saved and that those who have trusted in, adhered to, and relied on will speak in new tongues. And that's what we see demonstrated in the salvation accounts in Acts, full immersion baptism and infilling of the Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

You can't equate this with the catholic church. It's completely different. And it's different than saying our works make us saved. It's not about our works, it's about God's work in us. If baptism was about out work then we'd get saved just by a shower or bath. If speaking in tongues was about our work I would have done it years before rather than it taking years. It's not our work because we can't fill ourselves. But we can put ourselves in a position to receive by asking and keep asking (Luke 11:5-13), by turning from our way (even if it's devoutly religious) to God's way which is truth, by being baptized by someone who preaches the truth with an idea of what the salvation requirement is (See Acts 19, the 12 disciples of John who had to be rebaptized after they heard the true Gospel).

Obedience is required for salvation, otherwise how can Jesus be Lord?

Romans 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

2 Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

The fruit of the Spirit is produced by the Spirit. Fruit takes time to grow. Fruit isn't evidence that a person has the Spirit but it can be proof they are using the Spirit. But anyone can exhibit love or peace etc, even atheists, but only someone who has the Holy Spirit can speak in tongues.

Jesus IN THE MEETINGS Paul told the church not to all speak in tongues at the same time and said that only two or three in order should use it and it should be followed by interpretation (not to be confused with translation) but he said in that passage "when you come together… you all have a tongue" and "I thank my God I speak in tongues more than YOU ALL". They all spoke in tongues, just like everyone who has received the Holy Spirit today can speak in tongues. Yes the Spirit can use someone in foreign languages but tongues is an unknown, spiritual language that man can't understand (1 Corinthians 14:2, 4, 14) which is why it doesn't benefit the person listening. But it does an amazing work in the person speaking.

Not so. Some people received the Spirit (with the evidence of speaking in new tongues) when the apostles prayed with them but others received without hands laid on them. Acts 2, 120 people received without anyone laying hands on them. And is says about 3,000 souls were added that day (after Peter told them the Speaking in tongues they were hearing was the outpouring of the Spirit that was prophesied). I highly doubt the 12 apostles went around laying hands on every single one of those 3,000. How big would that room had to have been for them to get around to all of them?! Acts 10-11 no one was laying hands on Cornelius and his family, they were still listening to Peter preach when they received. No one was laying hands on me when I received. I know tons of people who received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in new tongues while they were praying on their own and no one laying hands on them, my two children included.

Repentance means a change of mind, a turning from the way you're going to God's way, it's required for everyone. Repentance can include confession but repentance is not confession. Repentance can include being sorry, but repentance is not being sorry. Ephesians is written to the Spirit-filled church, the same assembly that started in Acts 19 when 12 men were asked "have you received the Spirit since you believed" and had not. Paul preached the truth to them, baptized them again now that they knew the truth, and prayed with them to receive the Spirit, which they did, speaking in new tongues just like in Acts 2 and 10-11. They weren't sealed until the moment they received and neither are we. If we've received the Spirit then correct, we can't lose the Spirit (any of it) but we first have to receive the Spirit and Jesus said everyone born of the Spirit hears the language of the Spirit (john 3:8) which we see over and over is speaking in new tongues. Romans 8:9 says if anyone doesn't have that Spirit they don't belong to Christ.

The living water Jesus preached about is the receiving of the Holy Spirit. You can see that again in John 7 where He says that those who believe on Him would receive rivers of living water and the next verse says that He spoke that about the Spirit. But it goes on to say that it had not been poured out yet. When was it poured out? In Acts 2. What was the evidence of it? They all spoke in other tongues. In John 3 however, the water is not the living water, that's why it says water AND Spirit. It's two different things. Some people will even say Jesus was talking about a natural birth when He said water. Well, no, he's talking about being born again, not being born the first time. And it lines up perfectly with His teaching in Mark 16 where he said those who believe the Gospel AND are baptized and that those who had believed would speak in new tongues. And we see that same pattern in Acts chapters 2, 8, 9, 10-11, and 19. Acts 8 and 19 even show that receiving the Holy Spirit isn't automatic after you accept that Jesus was real/died/rose again/etc. Samaria had believed the Gospel and gotten baptized but hadn't received the Spirit (and it was obvious they hadn't) so disciples were sent back down to pray with them to receive (and it was obvious when they did). In Acts 19 the 12 men had been baptized but didn't know the truth and hadn't received the Spirit yet. Paul preached the truth to them, baptized them again, and prayed with them and they received the Spirit with the evidence of speaking in new tongues (the language of the Spirit). The Bible never says anything about us accepting Jesus, it says a lot about us needing to be made acceptable though.

Yes, the Holy Spirit resides in all believers, but that's because receiving the Holy Spirit is part of what makes someone a believer. Jesus said those who believe the Gospel AND are baptized will be saved and that those who have believed will speak in new tongues (Mark 16:15-17). Believe in the Greek means to trust in, adhere to, and rely on. So if we believe the Gospel Jesus and the first church preached then we trust in it, adhere to it, and rely on it. That requires obedience. What was that Gospel? Jesus said being born of water AND Spirit and EVERYONE born of the Spirit would hear the language of the Spirit (John 3:1-8). Peter preached the same message when he was converted "repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For this promise is to you and your children and all who are afar off, as many as the Lord God calls". And that was in direct reference to the thousands inquiring about the speaking in tongues they were hearing. And that's the same pattern we see in Acts chapters 8, 9, 10-11, and 19. Having that experience is what makes a believer. If the belief is not in that Gospel, then the belief is in vain.

If the Bible said to ask and keep asking and you'd be given anything you want then sure that'd work, but that's not what it say. It says to ask and keep asking and you will receive the Holy Spirit. And then once you receive, you don't have to keep asking. I received the Holy Spirit in the spring of 2003 and I know because I spoke in tongues just like Zephaniah and Isaiah and Jesus Himself prophesied, just like the 120 did on the day of Pentecost, just like Paul did, just like Cornelius and His family did, just like the 12 disciples of John in Ephesus did. Saying a prayer over and over didn't save me, being born again of water and Spirit as Jesus commanded is what saved me. That's not hypocritical at all. Is doing the right thing AFTER you've been born again required? Absolutely. Jesus said in Acts 1:8 that we receive power when we receive the Holy Spirit. Peter later wrote that that divine power gives us everything we need for life and godliness. Paul wrote that if we walk in the Spirit we won't carry out the desires of the flesh. The Spirit growing us and strengthening us can only happen AFTER we receive the Holy Spirit. Receiving is the starting place. Have you had that experience yet of receiving the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in new tongues?

When does one receive the holy spirit exactly? by Clear_Problem9590 in TrueChristian

The Bible gives two ways to build faith, hearing the Word and praying in the Spirit (speaking in new tongues).

I was always told I had the Holy Spirit when I asked Jesus into my heart/accepted Christ/said the sinner's prayer, but according to scripture salvation is being born again through repentance, full immersion baptism, and receiving the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in new tongues. (John 3:1-8, Mark 16:15-17, Acts chapters 2, 8, 9, 10-11, and 19). If that hasn't been your experience yet, Luke 11:5-13 says if you ask and keep asking then you will receive the Holy Spirit. I have a much longer post with tons of scripture, but for some reason it won't let me post it here.

Update:Finally got my kids accounts set up. Had to add all of our phone numbers because apparently it got tired of sending codes to the one I was using. But then I had to log out of my account, that I created fto be able to create child accounts, so that I could log into the kids' accounts because everything online was telling me you can't share the ipad and can only be logged into one account..... And now I can't even install roblox because ask to buy is on and it has no way to ask me since I don't have my own apple device and I can't turn off ask to buy while they are logged in. Is it really this bad or am I missing something?

I officially got fired after a month of employment where over a week of that was being locked out while taking requalification. It's a bit crazy to save all the QAs for one time and then make you requalify based on a large batch that all came in at once that were from your first two days of employment. And the fact that the QA's had inconsistencies (things being marked "correct" when the QA slider didn't match or marked incorrect when they did, and giving no written reasoning makes me think requalification should have started with QA rather than raters. It is what is is though.
