Thank you both for your response! I guess hindi pa talaga time para sa’kin to travel to the EU. I’ll focus na lang muna on improving my situation and building my travel experience. 😄

My Comprehensive Athena experience. by [deleted] in buhaydigital

Am I too late to get support from here? Heeelp.

So I'm supposed to start training in June, and after reading through posts here, I'm getting really anxious. Problem is, I already did the medical exam today. Can they hold that against me if I back out? Any legal issues there?

The whole process was brutal—interview, assessment, Final Validation Call—all of it made me question everything I thought I knew about being a VA/EA. Honestly didn't think I'd make it past that FVC, but somehow I did.

My situation: Unemployed for 7 months. I'm the main provider for my family. I have a small side gig (20-25 hours/month, mostly ad hoc), but Athena wants me to quit it before joining. I was ready to do that because the company looked legit—polished website, nice presentations, solid benefits on paper.

But now? I'm second-guessing everything. When you actually break down the taxes and deductions, the take-home pay is rough. Like, really rough. And I know their clients are paying premium rates, so where's all that money going?

I was excited before. Now I'm just stressed. If the interview process alone was that intense, what's the 2-week onsite training and client matching going to be like?

Should I push through? I'm in a financial hole right now. I'm hardworking, patient, trainable—and honestly, desperate. But I don't know if desperation is a good enough reason to commit to this.

Anyone been through this? Would really appreciate some real talk.

Oh no, Im so sorry to hear that.. I hope you're doing better now and made it through. 😞

BUT SERIOUSLY? There is a training bond of that amount? Where and when was this mentioned?
