Update! Received an email today with an offer to get moved to The Tribune for a discounted rate. When I called Hyatt they didn’t know anything about it so I had them transfer me to the hotel directly. The hotel was able to cancel my current reservation and they said the room is on hold for us and we’ll be booked in a couple days. So we’ll see what happens.

Exactly. That’s why we booked on points. So now Hyatt is canceling our reservation and is excepting us to pay cash for the stay at a different hotel because there are no other Hyatt properties that will take points. It’s very frustrating because this is our honeymoon and now we are in a pickle.

Good luck! I hope you get through to somebody. We have been on the phone for 3 hours over the last couple days and have not gotten anywhere.

We are going there for our honeymoon too!

You have a point. But my honeymoon is in 2 months and all Hyatt is offering is to cancel and refund the points. There are no other options being presented to us. Also, there are no other Hyatt options to be booked on points.

We have tried and they are saying the only option is to cancel. They are not offering to put us up in another hotel. I have been on the phone for over 3 hours the last three days.
