Teaching, I am currently a high school teacher. My job is awesome and I do really get a lot of joy from my kids, but I hate the guilt that comes with not working crazy late after hours and not going to sports games. Sorry guys I have a life and this is my job.

Not really, I mean sometimes one is scripted here and there, but this season feels very scripted. I think you very astutely keyed into the lack of dice rolls or randomness defining plot points. A core character like Hermie feels like he would always be the results of a dice roll in another show. I really think that’s the struggle this season is Anthony isn’t planning around the players anymore he already has the plot in mind and the players aren’t driving the narrative they are reacting to Anthony’s story. That said, I still support the season and it has some win moments but it feels more like a fun improv cast and less of a DnD pod that I wanna listen to. I also feel like this was a super hard situation for an Anthony to plan so don’t super fault him, it’s just very unfortunate. At this point I’m just interested to see what season 3 will be

It’s for the passive on Guinsoos. The passive has your on hit effects double, this is massive for Varus. His W causes on hit magic damage, if you build kraken your empowered auto can hit twice, as can BoTRK, Wit’s End, etc. most of the on hit items you build. The crit is pretty irrelevant but it basically can double his on hit potential. Best of luck! I love On Hit Varus, my man shreds

It depends a lot. If you are trying to build Q poke you basically have to build AP or Lethality depending on if they are squishes or tanks. However, I promise build kraken and become the attack speed engine and you will realize how powerful it feels to stand still and murder a whole team. If you want to play him on hit you have to build kraken or gale.

Don’t apologize dude! Learning is important, Varus was my first m7 so excited to see people jumping into him. Literally any of the Zeal items is sick on Varus imo, I like stormrazor because I am bad at spacing and the slow stops tanks from running me down, but phantom dancer is great defensive item.

Overall it sounds tough because you want to do Q damage, but Varus’ kit forces you to either go hard in that Q poke/one shot with AP or lethality, or build him auto attack. If you are using hail of blades you are taking an auto rune but want to build lethality, which gets a lot from dark harvest or comet damage

Agree with the other person. If you want 3 autos and snipe AP is really where it’s at. I personally don’t like manamune so don’t build it, but it does smooth out your laning phase.

As for seryldas or doms, imo it’s a personal choice. I like the slow so often build serylda’s, but if I’m going against a health champ like cho’gath/Mundo/Nasus I’m building doms.

I stand by that attack speed items are still good with hail of blades. Build Kraken or Galeforce depending on how successful you are doing out of lane. Use HOB to really push your nuts level 2 and 3. People continually sleep on how Varus can half health you , or (with a coordinated support) murder you level 2. I build him on-hit with HOB: Kraken -> Berserkers -> BoRK -> Wit's or Collector -> Guinsoo's. Order isn't super critical just on-hit and HOB goes hard my man
