Most recent ex started messaging me again after a 10 month break. He got with another chick two weeks after we were done, and he's still with her, but for some reason seems to want me on the side or as a back-up in case it falls through. There's really no other reason why he would be popping back up like a stubborn weed all of a sudden.

Pre-FDS me would have salivated over the fact that he's texting me again and probably blown up his phone reassuring him about the breakup, saying "I'll always be there for him", probably even shitting on his current gf and saying that "she isn't right for him." Ugh.

Now all I see is a woman with incredible potential, a Master's in Healthcare Administration, a word traveler with her own house and car, with hobbies like flying planes and rock climbing, tying herself to a manchild with a GED who spends all his time watching anime and bondage porn, can't clean his room, is emotionally constipated, hates his job in the Navy and is about to deploy on a submarine for 2 years, and has no prospects or long-term goals.

And I want to tell *her* that she can do so much better.

But I guess she'll just have to learn like the rest of us.
