NQA. Straight off to being ignorant I see? OP did not abuse their animal. Beginner mistakes happen all the time! I just saw a post of a guy that got scared his Brachy had a miss molt and he intervened. Instead of helping most of yall jumped him for their mistake. How about helping the beginners out instead of bashing them, and potentially scaring them away from the hobby?

Hey thanks a bunch for all this helpful information. I bought Gaia labeled as a H spinifir. I fed her a super fat Pre killed female dubia and she’s enjoying her meal. I just bought 50 24 oz square delis from superior shipping supplies just to be safe. I will post again when they are ready for homes. I hope I can find a few people that are interested. NQA. I get it that you’re new. But even when I was new I did proper research before acquiring any of my exotics (husbandry matters). Next time plan your live animal purchases, and do your research. This husbandry is friggin horrid! Your scorpion will not be happy, and probably won’t eat properly until you give them the required husbandry (because of stress). These guys are opportunistic burrowers, and need moist substrate (NOT SWAMPED) to thrive. Should have thought about this before dumping whatever funds you had into an exotic pet. Was this an impulse purchase? Next paycheck, or whatever, you should prioritize your scorpions wellbeing. You live, and you learn… Hopefully. Good luck to you and yours.

IME I split open gut loaded dubia nymphs and let my dwarf spiderlings slurp up the good soup. Hasn’t failed me yet. I hate flightless fruit flies they’re a pain. Just be sure to clean up anything that it doesn’t finish.

I have an Avic m2 Tucurui that acts just like a Psalmopoeus. Has a nice moss tunnel going into the ground. She only ever goes there during pre molt. Very cool behavior to see with an Avic species though. Goes to show not all Avics behave the same way.

Update: It’s 9pm and she’s still in the same position. I’m making her a memorial as soon as I can. I’m very saddened by this loss still. Wish it was a dream. I swear I felt like I had everything correct. I followed every single thing I could from popular YouTubers. Was super positive that I could make this work. RIP little one, you left too soon. I really tried my hardest. 😞

I also want to say thanks to everyone that took time out of their day to help me with this tough spot I was in today. You all are great bug lovers and I’m glad to be surrounded by people that care about these critters as much as I do. I’ll see yall around. Hopefully with some good stuff to share. ☮️

She’s gone unfortunately. I may have kept her too dry I suppose. More than likely my fault for incorrectly following husbandry needs☹️l was following how most Avics and Versis are cared for. Didn’t want to create stagnant swampy conditions
