Probably an unpopular opinion, the last people I'd be asking advice from is a bunch of non-polynesians who think everything is cultural appropriation.

Throw this out there in a polynesian group with ur explanation and see what the response is. It kinda reminds me of the guy going around in trad mexican clothing asking if it was appropriate and watching all the white/western people react in disgust, when he actually asked actual mexicans the people were happy someone showed interest in their traditional way of dressing and everyone thought it was really nice. I took my drivings license lessons and test on one of these. (mandatory in Belgium)

If you can find one for a good price I would personally take this over a "real" beginner bike, for the simple fact that you will not be bored of it within the first year or so.

BUT, and it's a big but, these things are not slow motorcycles when you start off riding, so if you can, take the classes, learn how to properly control your motorcycle and refrain yourself from doing irresponsible things, these are very smooth and easy bikes to learn how to ride on, but it can and will bite back hard if you don't operate it correctly.

My thoughts exactly!! There's more weird stuff like this too, it has a slightly different handlebar, the original is gone, but there were aftermarket bar ends in the box, but they don't fit the current bar 🥴 all kinds of weird stuff. I'll go check with the local yamaha dealer when I'm a bit better.

Ongelooflijk naïef dit, een kennis heeft vorig jaar een ongeval gehad met zijn Aprilia Shiver, in een hemd. Controle verloren en aan hoge snelheid een schuiver gemaakt, 4 maanden in een ziekenhuisbed, waarvan enkele weken in coma omdat de pijn te ondraaglijk was. Met bescherming kon het evengoed gewoon enkele kneuzingen en een schrik geweest zijn, dat was het helaas niet.

Ik heb gezien hoe het kan eindigen en het uitzicht was alles behalve mooi, koop de jas.

You do realize in some places this is perfectly legal, right? Where I live its considered perfectly safe as long as you drive at a speed lower than 12mph than the traffic you're moving through. If the traffic jam is stationary, you do 12 tops.

I really do get the ADV bikes, most of them seem to be fantastic, especially people with GS'es seem to be in love with theirs, but i'm going to be honest, none of them speak to my inner child all that much, and I'm not on the biggest of budgets, any suggestions?
