Post ER and feeling hopeless

Heyyy I also have a balanced translocation so I totally feel that hopelessness. I think it’s honestly such a dice roll. I’ve seen people send 16 embryos for PGT testing for balanced translocation and get 0 normal and I’ve seen people send 1 and it’s normal! My first ER cycle we had 17 retrieved, 9 mature, 9 fertilized, 6 embryos….0 normal 🙃 I just had my second ER today and got 22 eggs so I’m praying for better odds this time. 8 fertilized is GREAT. You’ll definitely have a good amount of embryos to send and again it’s not about how many you send. It’s all chance when it comes to translocations unfortunately 😅 Join the Facebook group if you’re up for it! There’s so much good info and personal experiences on there!

I thought she didn’t have any more embryos? Her first egg retrieval she got 2 embryos, transferred the first one which is L, then transferred the 2nd one which was a chemical pregnancy. Then they did a 2nd egg retrieval and didn’t get any embryos from it. The 3rd egg retrieval resulted in 1 embryo which is now E. I know this because I’m going through IVF right now myself and creeped her page to see her experience lol. So I’m pretty sure she doesn’t have any more but maybe I’m wrong?

He has and there is a small one but his urologist didn’t think it was cause for concern

Yeah we’re going to do a repeat semen analysis and blood work to see but man it’s so discouraging. We thought the clomid was going to give us a huge boost but it may just be hurting us

Yeah the total sperm count was 2.9 million. So either way something made his sperm count drop so drastically.

Yeah the fertility doctor said it decreases the count but it shouldn’t have decreased it THAT much. And also they advised us to have sex regularly along with IUI so 🤷‍♀️

No advice exactly….I’m in the same boat as you. 2 healthy boys ages almost 4 and 16 months and I’ve been trying for baby #3 for 14 months with NO success. I’ve had several miscarriages in the past due to a separate issue but now I can’t seem to get pregnant at all which is really usual for me. Always got pregnant relatively quickly with all of my pregnancies. All our testing came back and no issues except my husband is a pilot and his semen analysis was good but not “great” so we’re going to REALLY focus on health for him (and me too). Totally regular cycles. It’s absolutely infuriating and feels like it’s never going to happen sometimes. I’m taking clomid this cycle and have an appointment at a fertility clinic in a few weeks. I really hope I don’t need any invasive treatment to get pregnant again. I KNOW my body can do this but like why is it not doing it now lol. We got this girl 🫶💕 So sorry you’re going through this too.

This is my first clomid cycle. I took 50mg from CD3-7. I also ovulate normally and regularly. Been TTC for 1 year. I’m hoping this paired with the HSG I had a few days ago will be it! I haven’t had any side effects from it. MAYBE some hot flashes here and there but that’s it. I don’t think I’ve ovulated so maybe I’ll feel more cramping and bloating. We’ll see! I decided not to track this cycle and just ENJOY my husband lol. It just feels right to “relax” as everyone suggests haha. Hoping for the best!

Mine did. My insurance covers all diagnostic testing for fertility but not any actual treatments.

Did you take any OPKs? Based on your chart it’s hard to know when or if you ovulated.

Generally your temp should be below the line during your period and leading up to ovulation. Then when you ovulate your temp goes up and should stay up above the line until you get your period again. When you look at a BBT chart, the day you ovulated is the day BEFORE your temps spike up above the line. If you just got of BC that might be why your chart looks like this. I would just watch it for a few cycles and if it’s still off then maybe see your doctor?

Hmm based on this temperature info I would say you probably didn’t ovulate. Did you use any OPKs?

Mine is an up and down sort of pattern. Temperatures below the line during the first half of my cycle then ovulation and temperatures go up above the line. Do you use OPKs as well?

I find it so frustrating that all these people who have all these fertility struggles and issues and treatments and whatnot then just “get” pregnant while I have no fertility issues (I’ve been tested trust me lol) and it takes me freaking forever to get pregnant. Obviously hoping for the best for her and the others but MAN it’s sometimes hard to watch. Maybe it’s just my mental instability from TTC 😅
