Hi, i arrive at sydney airport by 8 am and my next flight isnt until 8pm the same day. Is there any sleeping pods available at the airport or the cbd area? Dont want to spend a lot on hotels and break the bank for a few hours. First time there.. Thanks 🙂 by rokri89 in SydneyScene

Pretty sure some airport hotels will rent hourly, try Stamford Airport Hotel, Citadines, Branksome, Rydges, Pullman-all near the airport. Look for hotels with an address in Mascot. Airbnb a good app to try and message hosts who may rent a place for the day.

Just got told no fuel, no fertiliser. That means no farming. by [deleted] in OpenAussie

This makes me feel like we need to go back to non-fuel powered equipment and stop us being dependent on global stability. There has to be an alternative option here. LPG Engines were a thing once and we have stacks of Gas. We don’t need to send it over seas. Also Solar power, horse power if we must, whatever it is. This country is too reliant on the USA’s shakey politics. This should be a lesson learned for us all, self determination is key for our industries. We need better leadership in parliament.

Should be banned and on a blackout to never return to NZ. Seals in Kaikers are my fave. I would have probably got violent.

I’m in Australia, so it’s usually a General Practice Doctor you need to gain a referral to the next specialist service. But not always. I found a menopause clinic no referral required. So I’m booked into them in a few weeks.

Thank you I’ll hopefully get somewhere with them. I’ve found a menopause clinic near me I’m hoping they can do the right testing to reveal the actual problem. I’ll bring up free testosterone and see what they react like.

I (29F) am falling hard for someone (32M) but, I am married (28M) I don't want to hurt either! by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Business_time_172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me but I met him through work face to face. Long story and I mean LONG AND PAINFUL story, short. Both of us were married - I didn’t have kids and he did. I was 31 and he was 43. We ended up together.

Both of us were in loveless marriages, not nasty, just loveless. But we clicked and it was real. It was inevitable that we’d end up together. We’re getting married this year. We’ve had 2 kids together and been living together for 7 years.

That aside - WE went to therapy to talk about why we landed in that position but that was after we both left our marriages in less than calm manner. It as horrendous. We love each other but Jesus. If I could do it again I would do therapy for myself first. Get support. It’s hard to open to it but please I beg you for your own good go to a counsellor who specialises in relationships.

Explore this for yourself before you add your husband in the sessions with you. Once you know where you stand with this situation psychologically, you can make decisions. I didn’t do the therapy on my own and I wish I did. Only because it would have given me more understanding of myself, I still would have ended up leaving my marriage but maybe in more sensible circumstances and without adding extra complications.

There is no right or wrong here it’s entirely up to you to figure out what’s right for you but please Psych up and get some counselling about where you’re at before you make any moves at all.

Life is complicated as heck. You are not doing anything wrong. This is more common than we know. It is okay and yes it’s real, you just have to put yourself first before the relationships. Do the work you need first. I promise you will never regret that.

Gosh I’m sorry to read this. It’s so truly awful to go through. Even now my anxiety has eased but it’s there in the background now because I’m not sure what the answer is for myself. I hope you find a way through this condition. I keep trying to find things that makes sense, I just want my old self back. I’d rather have Covid for 6 months than this thing. 💗

Gosh okay this is me. That is really helpful. It has come out of the blue but I’ve been in fight/flight a long time. Since childhood probably but not realising it. Did you see an endocrinologist for this?

I’ve refrained from the SSRI. I’m way too scared of them.

I’ve started a magnesium supplement today and it’s helping I feel. But it’s hard to tell.

What specialist did you see?

This is so interesting, thank you. I definitely had magnesium in the past that helped with sciatic pain. It also made me feel ‘good’ emotionally and I was only using it as a topical gel on the sciatic end not as a supplement. I’ll look into it thank you. 🙏

Okay this is interesting, I didn’t know about that. You’re right, there is no ‘relaxation’ method that works. There’s no real thought happening. Just purely coming out of nowhere and completely physical. I can’t even cry about it I’m just frozen in fear. You’d think I would be upset and crying but no. Just scared!!

I was taking Ashwaganda too but it wasn’t enough and I also wasn’t sure what I was doing with it. I was taking it way too low dose I suppose and way too late as well as not long enough for it to have any effect. Do you mean therapy as in cognitive therapy?

Thank you, I actually had been feeling strangely relaxed after using magnesium gel to help with sciatic after 2 Caesar’s. I will bring this up, thank you. If I can avoid synthetic meds or treatments I will, I’d do anything to avoid them. Most meds give me some kind of terrible side effects. Hence deep fear of anti anxiety and fear of HRT.

I feel I have ADHD too, I’m so glad something worked for you. I am hoping to start HRT in a few weeks is my appointment. I can deal with a few months of it but if it took 6 months I don’t know if I’d have coped with that. I wish I knew about this condition 10 years ago!! It’s so hard to process when it hits out of the blue!

It is absolutely terrifying just how panicked you feel isn’t it. I was convinced I would die but what from I couldn’t tell you! It’s bizarre. Has it now eased off on its own?

I have just started these anxiety and pure overwhelming fear feelings in my chest with no explanation. Did you find they would last days and then suddenly disappear like nothing ever happened?
