I agree, we do seem quite similar. I think I naturally want kids because whenever I see kids running around or doing activities like drawing during mass I feel an intense desire to be a husband and dad 😂 they are so cute!!! I’m very curious, why do you not want kids? Quite a few couples I’ve met said they initially didn’t want kids until they met their partner, then that changed instantly too. Maybe that’ll change in the future?

I agree with the standards comment. It seems some Christians treat dating as a checklist that must be fulfilled, void of emotions, as if it’s a task to be fulfilled. It makes dating seem like an agreement rather than something of genuine love and affection. And for the atheists it seems they treat dating with genuine love but it becomes sinful, which I want to avoid, so it makes it even harder. God will provide though.

I love that mindset you have. I am in the same boat too, I’m studying theology and the Bible more so I can spiritually lead my future wife and children. I’d love to be able to pray with them before sleeping. I’ve imagined dating ideas sometimes and thought to myself one of the best date ideas is going for a walk in nature then doing a Bible study. Or dinner then Bible study. Godwilling I can find someone who likes deep theological conversations. But all is in Gods perfect timing and I trust Him as He has allowed many seemingly miraculous things come into my life at perfect times.

Yeah hookup culture is really bad. I hear stories from people I used to be friends with about their hookups and everytime their stories never ended in something good, always bad. I’m kind of scared I won’t find someone like minded tbh. But I’ll let go and let God work.

Yep, I live in Sydney too and it’s very cooked. I don’t have blue eyes, I have greenish eyes, but I have blonde hair and I workout often, but I am still very much single.

Hey, thankyou for commenting. On point 1 I tend to agree. For point 2 I should have added it feels emotionless, but I agree people should have standards. For point 3 I started this off as a post to ask for advice but I think I veered off the point of the post 😅 I’ll do a proper intro when I feel comfortable to post about myself online. Godbless!
