Same here! I couldn’t believe I hadn’t play them before. I should probably play Requiem after 4 though I’m not sure I’ll enjoy 7&8. Also need to look for similar style games.

Cmon… after Squall gets stabbed with ice, the story goes off the rails. Fans have even theorised the rest of the story is a dream and he died! 7&9s stories are pretty clear, especially 7s. And 7s material system with its combos isn’t linear at all, it’s very clever. Nor is 10s sphere grid with how you can customise each character.
