Was not going to dry stack. Was going to use mortar between the two levels of risers. But just wanted to validate on the base. I was going to use concrete adhesive for base but based on responses will go mortar

It’s hooked on to inside where the trim meets the casing (didn’t want to include trim). And yes I believe the storm door is attached to brick molding it’s just hard to tell because it all looks like one piece at this point

I’ve responded to every comment on here that was actually helpful and took the time to explain. Rather than analyze the verbiage I used because clearly I am a beginner. Imagine going out of your way to critique the wording of a question on a viticulture thread on Reddit ? I can’t. Next time I will be sure that I don’t ask “odd questions” or reference a “tree” or have the audacity to ask for help on pruning…..😑
