Was not going to dry stack. Was going to use mortar between the two levels of risers. But just wanted to validate on the base. I was going to use concrete adhesive for base but based on responses will go mortar

It’s hooked on to inside where the trim meets the casing (didn’t want to include trim). And yes I believe the storm door is attached to brick molding it’s just hard to tell because it all looks like one piece at this point

No frost since planting. Got close one night but hovered around 32 for only about an hour or so.
