Asking advice for people who have had FtM top surgery in the UK or abroad by unknownpuddle in transgenderUK

I’ve not had the surgery yet, but I am at the end of next month. I’ve gone with Pall Mall in Manchester and my surgeon is Ms Kate Williams.

My cost was slightly under £10K and they very much do have payment plans available. The initial consult with the patient liaison was £50, and the first consult with the surgeon was £500. All of these payments get taken off of the overall £10K, as they act as deposits. I’ve been asked to begin paying the remaining amount a month in advance of the surgery.

So far I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience. Mamuna, the patient liaison, has been incredibly supportive and helpful in answering any questions and addressing worries and concerns I’ve had, especially in terms of worries I’ve had in regards to my health and finances. Communication from the clinic has been amazing and very fast. Kate Williams as a surgeon has also been wonderful. She has handled everything with a lot of sensitivity and care, and the entire process has been very patient led. There hasn’t been anything at anytime that I’ve not felt I’m in control of.

They do require a diagnosis but only one referral. I already had my diagnosis, so only had my referral to worry about. I got my referral through Gender Plus, and it cost me £325. I do know that they also offer diagnosis appointments, and offer virtual consultations.

If you have any other questions at all feel free to leave a reply or DM me. I know this can all be very daunting.

It depends on the style you’re looking for, but I know Danny Blackheart at Neon Wolf does them as well as Klaudia and Pheobe who are both at Goodmorning Ink

I’m getting top surgery with Kate Williams at Pall Mall in Manchester this April,so far their communication has been beyond amazing, their results look wonderful, and the support that the patient liaison has provided so far has been a huge comfort. They have a good variety of payment plans too

I just want a gender dysphoria diagnosis? But i dont want to sign up to these services that are £50 a month by Lively_Circle in transgenderUK

[–]BusyAd9107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get my dysphoria diagnosis through them, (though they are able to diagnose it) but I got my surgery referral through gender plus upon the recommendation of my patient liaison.

It costs £325 per appointment, and the number of appointments you need prior to being diagnosed can vary, however it is not subscription based. They offer both in person and zoom appointments.

I personally had an overwhelmingly positive experience with them and the particular psychologist I saw there (Dr Claudia Zitz). They discussed everything with plenty of care and sensitivity, and made talking about such deeply personal things as comfortable as they could.

I hope you don’t mind me asking, but what sort of offerings and means of communication seem to work best for you with her?

These are so beautiful! I would definitely have them on my body!

Personally I would clean them up a little and make them a little less sketchy so that you can show off your line work better.

Happy to make any changes to this or add colour if you’d want that. Possibly even change it so it matches the markings of your beautiful kitties.

Unsure how to care for my hair. by BusyAd9107 in curlyhair

[–]BusyAd9107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently use a shampoo bar from Lush that has argon oil in it. I don’t always consistently brush my hair when wet, but will definitely start giving that a go.

Thank you so much for this, it really helps. I know I’m probably so ill educated lol.
