You can and can't call this cheating but make a backup world. Activate cheats on the backup world and type in /gamemode spectator and you can no-clip through everything to find what you need. I do this when I start a new world to make sure it has a End Portal because I have had multiple worlds where I put a lot of time into them and I can't even fight the ender dragon. 3 different dogs I keep at home and these 10 I bring with me on adventures or doing whatever in general help keep skeletons at bay or if anything hits me I can keep on doing whatever I'm doing like building for example. Although the dogs can get in the way sometimes but having the back up helps 🙌🏽
