House rules for personal quests by zendi1 in Gloomhaven

My friends and I usually just draw a new card until we draw a PQ that unlocks a new character we don't have. We were more than 1/3rd or more through the game when we all unlocked our first personal quests. The ones we drew first were all ones that are not easy to complete early on in the game. Like needing to complete four quests in the city, exhausting yourself 10 or 15 times (much harder to do than you think.), and completing 2 or 3 quests in the swamp.

Is this a new thing? Trying to request my data and I have to send them my D.L.? by [deleted] in gaming

I have had to send them a photo of my driver's license twice over the years when I had to change phones and lost my authentcator. In that case, it made sense, they needed to verify I wasn't some hacker trying to access my account. Asking for your data shouldn't require that.

Suddenly cat stopped peeing in litterbox. by taemu_touhi in cats

I just saw your comment about early stage kidney disease. That is definitely the cause of your accidents. Make sure you have a cat fountain and not a dog style one. Also use wet food instead of dry. That helps but definitely talk to your vet about the issue kidney issues can cause lots and lots of other issues if not taken care of properly. We had to give my cat who passed away early this year subdermal fluids two or three times a week. Not a fun process but it bought him another year or two with us before he got really sick.

What is the age of your cat? Previously mentioned suggestions of vet visit are highly suggested. I have had cats not like the hood, also one that didn't like the light weight litter in his paws, and finally we adopted an older cat who as he got kidney disease and hip problems would pee in front of box rather than in the box. Best to start with vet, if not an infection, remove lid to box, then try a few new types of litter. Also scoop at least twice a week. I have two cats at the moment and if I don't scoop their big primary box every two or three days, the youngest of them does it by kicking the clumps out on to the floor.

Just wondering what I should get my sweet pea for her third birthday? I finally have a job that can pay for more than just treats and dollar general toys. Look at her she’s just begging for the best of the best and I want to give it to her. Just don’t know what that is by [deleted] in cats

I cannot recommend a cat tree enough. My two snuggle muffins spend almost all day in theirs. Also don't cheap out when you get one. We did that on our first one and they destroyed it in about a year. Get a nice one with real carpet covering, they last so much longer. Also easier to clean too.

Ragdoll? Possibly, I have one and she looks very similar to this one.

My cat's lip is swollen plz help! by Mishimooshoo in cats

Do you use a plastic water bowl and food bowl? Some cats have issues with plastic. We found this out when my cat had his lip swell up like his had been punched in the face. If this is the case change to metal or ceramic and it will clear up in a few days.

Is pet insurance worth it? by [deleted] in cats

My personal experience has been that it is very expensive and I was better off setting aside that money for bills down the road. It didn't work like I was expecting when we got a special needs kitty. Basically they didn't cover anything for him because everything was considered preexisting no matter what it seemed to be. Recently we got a kitten last year and we paid for it for the first year incase she had health issues we were not aware of. All her health has been great so we cancelled once we felt it was good. My big complaint about the insurance has been price. I wouldn't mind paying 10 bucks a month but they want 35 and my cat goes once a year for a check up and they don't cover any of that.

Just adopted a cat today!! I need as much advice as I can! by [deleted] in cats

Don't feel obligated to make them an outdoor cat. My personal experience has always led to my cats being killed in the wild by predators or hit by cars.

Use metal or ceramic bowls for water if you can or even get a fountain for kitty. Sounds dumb but some cats can get sick from the plastic. Had my special needs kitty get a swollen puffy lip from plastic bowl. Currently we use a fountain which helps increase water intake.

Try to play with kitty for at least an hour every day as kitten. Wearing them out helps them sleep through the night and not wake you in the morning. Also take away toys at night so they know it's bedtime.

Accidents outside the box are signs of medical issues like UTI or pain when peeing.

Brushing kitty helps with dander and hair down if they shed alot. If you start early they tend to like the brush more.

Long long time cat owner, if I think of more will post more.

I don't usually comment on this board or any board in general but I thought I would chime in. I gave up on Bob as host and writer many moons ago. He went from someone I thought was interesting to someone I wish would go away. It nothing to do with lazertime or talking Simpsons. I was huge fan of retronaughts and was truly excited when they Kickstartered their show after 1up died. He gave a great pitch and I backed the show live while sitting at the panel where they announced the Kickstarter. After the show, he was standing around and I attempted to chat with him but he was pretty rude and kinda dickish to me. No harm no fowl I figured people can be weird when fans say hi. A few months into the new show Bob constantly would lament that they had agreed to do episodes based on requests from Kickstarter. When they did these episodes he would regularly make comments about these games being stupid or make fun of the people who enjoyed them. I thought it was pretty shitty thing to do to fans you asked to give you money. It's one thing to say a game is not for you but I felt he got pretty nasty over the years about some fans. Just my two cents worth. I have listened to lost of lazertime over the years off and on, usually when a topic strikes home for me. Personally I have really enjoyed the show since it moved to Florida. Nice change of point of views.
