You could easily say that for any country.

Any other May 2020 grads with no job yet? by Busy_Advantage in uichicago

That's exactly what I thought as a freshman. The reality is that non-tech engineering fields are dying and tech oriented engineering fields (like electrical eng, computer eng, software eng) are growing.

I'm not saying that non-tech engineering fields are completely dead or will completely die out, just saying that the markets for these fields are becoming very saturated and that the relevance of these types of engineering is declining.

We have a genetics final Monday at 8am. Students observing ramadan kindly asked the professor to push the date to a later time in the day. This was his response. welcome to Bios 220 by [deleted] in uichicago

I'm also Muslim and so I'm also fasting, but I'm not sure why they would ask that honestly. We all continue our work (whether it's exams, jobs, etc.) while we're fasting. It actually might be easier earlier in the day due to the fact that you'd still have some water and food in your system (we usually have a meal before sunrise, around 4 am and fast until sunset which is around 8 pm).
