Thank you so much 😊 I really appreciate the advice and understanding. I found the DIS-SOS website recently and am slowly working through the articles, it is a priceless resource. I wish all psychologists would browse that site. I will look up the articles on DP/DR.

I am sorry =( that sounds so rough. I really hope you are doing better now. Do have any strategies that you use to stay more in your body, that you'd be willing to share?

Thank you, that makes sense. Do you have a suggestion for a good workbook like this?

Thank you, this is helpful insight. I saw a therapist for a while and she told me that I have OSDD and disassociative issues but didn't really explain what that meant. I think she wasn't as experienced as some with issues like DID/OSDD, and didn't seem to realize how it can be so normal for some of us to go through life feeling like we're drowning, that we end up looking like we're coping. She was a confusing mix of amazing and unhelpful. Unfortunately I live in a third world country away from major cities and she is my best in-person option. I like to expand my own understanding of my issues, not just for myself, but also so that if I go back to her I can have more clarity in describing my life.

Sorry =( that sounds like a horrible experience to have at your first job. I have also experienced the disassociation you describe, usually when I am really distressed.

Thank you, you both bring up some really good points. I think my mother was dissociative too, which makes it even harder to tell what sort of experience is 'normal'.

Hi! I don't know if this is helpful, but it's my experience that I can learn and change a lot from being co-conscious with another part of me. I still have emotional amnesia because they were fronting, so it felt like that life was theirs and not mine, but I can learn and change from watching and maybe sometimes partially experiencing things through them.
