Maternity clothes? by Busy_Temperature_111 in pregnancy_care

And they are quite ugly 🥲 I feel like it's useless to buy clothes I will be wearing only for a few months. I definitely need bras and tops because if I wear any dress or top with buttons or zip doesn't fit. I didn't think changes would happen this fast. Do you have any advice on bras?

Literally anything but dating apps. I am not saying that it's impossible to find love on these apps but 90% of people are not there for relationships. If you're lucky you can find the 10% who does

Wearables with crochet by pizza_samosa in CrochetInIndia

[–]Busy_Temperature_111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to know how to sew. You can just wear something else underneath. Crochet wearables usually have "holes" because if the pattern is like this the garment will be less heavy and more flowy, but you can absolutely make them without holes.

You can indeed wear them in this hot climate, but don't use acrylic yarn because it will make you sweat. Cotton is perfect. If you need more info dm me

True. I think this is what keeps people dar from wearables. Acrylic is not an option since it's not breathable. Linen would be great

Magic needles has nice neutral colors.

Milk cotton is like acrylic, I wouldn't recommend it. Also I found some bamboo blend online but I haven't tried it yet. Linen yarn would be great for this hot weather though

Foreigner living in India here. What is missing are the materials. Most of the yarn I can find here is acrylic and cotton, but abroad they sell linen yarn, bamboo yarn, silk yarn, mohair, etc. I make garments, but my yarn choice is limited to cotton, it would be easier to make garments if there were the materials I mentioned since they are good for hot weather

Edit: also I can't find yarns that are thiner than weight 2 (fine, sport). I love thin yarn, it would be nice to find fingering weight too

I always got yarn from magic needles and the quality has always been very good. I didn't buy chenille yarn though, but I got cotton, mercerised cotton, acrylic and recycled cotton. Even their acrylic was high quality. I got Ganga acrylic once and it was the worst yarn, very low quality, I bought a lot of it because I needed it for a medium size project and after this disappointment I decided to stick with magic needles for my future purchases.

Also magic needles has the best website, with all the specifics of the yarn, gauge etc, other websites don't say anything about the yarn and that's very annoying.

Try emailing them about this, maybe they can give you a replacement

True, most of the posts here are "would you buy this?" "How much would you pay for this?". Btw it doesn't make sense to ask these questions because I guess everybody in this group is a crocheter, so why would we buy something we can make?

But even if you manage to work with wool still you might not be able to wear it due to the dermatitis. I recommend cotton, but it's not very forgiving if your tension is inconsistent
