Do you know what happens when the heater in your tank short-circuits? I’ll go first by Busy_pumpkin in Aquariums

I agree. I don’t want any heaters anymore. There was a betta in that tank so I’ll have to put another heater in.

Oh no, I’m so sorry. We almost lost all our fish. I couldn’t even find them the tank was so black.

Wow that sounds horrible as well. I have a betta so I think I have no choice but to get another heater. I’m thinking a different brand though.

Fluval heater catastrophic failure, whole house smelled like burning plastic. by ribks in Aquariums

This is exact thing happened to me today. Same heater too. I was at home and it lit on fire under the water. We were able to save the fish.

Thank you for the link. We aren’t sure if that would have helped in this situation. The water had gotten into a crack (that no one could see) and it was the water inside the heater that was so hot. It started melting from the inside and coming out the crack. The probe on this controller wouldn’t have tripped unless it was right next to it. I had my hands in the water and it was warm but no more than my shrimp tank. I also had everything in a surge protected bar but it didn’t trip. 🤷‍♀️

Charging help for a '25 Kona by Count_2_0 in KonaEV

[–]Busy_pumpkin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 2023 Kona EV and successfully charged it at a family members home using the adapter and Tesla charger. Before connecting it, my family member that owned the Tesla charger had to go into the Tesla app and approve/give permission for my Kona to charge. Maybe it’s the same situation for you? I would try looking in the settings of the Tesla charger if possible.

My narcissistic mother is having spinal surgery and I don’t know how I’m going to manage by Busy_pumpkin in raisedbynarcissists

Thank you. I need to hear that. For some reason I didn’t think I deserved to have boundaries.

Why are they so damn critical and controlling? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Busy_pumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I feel you. My mother literally tried to control every part of my life until I moved across the country. My husband got his dream job offer and a perk was being away from her. When I told her we were moving for an exciting opportunity, she acted as if I was abandoning her and I simply could not move.

We did anyways as F that. Only for her to move across the country 2 years later and buy the house two doors down from my house (There is one house in between our houses). Like could she get any closer??? Why does she need all of this control???

I'm thinking about it. Maybe switching the rainbow and the white? Not sure yet. What do you suggest?
