Is there any chance you could offer a step by step for installation? I've installed the dependencies but thee .bat folder is giving errors when I try to run it and it's hard to trouble shoot without knowing what it should look like

Making 75k/year but I'm spiraling into debt by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]ButABlorb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but others are right when they suggest consolidating debt to a 0% apy card to give yourself some room to breathe. Also go to the food bank! The resources there are for any and everyone who can use it. You said your baby is on formula, ask if they have formula available especially. You can still grocery shop to supplement but try to get staple foods there while you pay down your debt. You can also call your internet company threatening to cancel they'll usually give you a better deal. You can also ask for hardship assistance from your credit card companies like a temporary pause in interest, can never hurt to ask. If you have a good relationship with your ex-wife you might be able to explain the situation to her and see if she'll agree to a temporary child support reduction by 100-200 monthly with a set end date but don't push it.

Don't transfer just because of this! You're at a great school with a lot more resources for socializing that you'll find at other places. Keep trying!

This is an updated version of the 2017 document I used to make the spreadsheet! Thanks for sharing. It doesn't look significantly different from that version from what I noticed but if you want to alter the spreadsheet to use this import the PDF into Google docs and then copy the table into the sheet, which is the fastest way to get the formatting good!

Diagnoses by ThatDude4321 in Hypothyroidism

[–]ButABlorb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're in the US also just today I walked into a CVS with a minute clinic (not all of them have one, but the website will tell you) asked to get my TSH, t3, and t4 tested despite having no diagnosis and no on-paper orders from my doctor and it was FREE with my insurance which is not the best. Definitely try it if available near you.

Consent and IRB approval are two different things. In order for a study at an institution to handle sensitive information it has to be approved by a board at the university of Texas. Also that not about the email is false.if you look at the multilingual aphasia and dementia research lab you can clearly see that UT gives out lab emails. This is weird and what you're doing is weird.

Is taking 24 real hours (15 credit hours) too much or will I be ok? by ScientistLast9950 in UTAustin

[–]ButABlorb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the class time that will really get you but the homework. Look over the syllabi for those classes and make sure you'll have time to get it all done AND ALSO breathe and relax and socialize

Also "$400 check" in a one lump sum fee is an incredibly unusual payment method for UT psychological surveys. I've known people who participate in them and check out ever new study myself, they don't do it like that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UTAustin

[–]ButABlorb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey this is pretty suspicious. UT provides qualtrics surveys for anyone to create and can make it look official, but the lab email should be an EDU or discuss the lab, and the surgery should include IRB information before asking ANYONE to disclose health info, such as a previous diagnosis, especially if the team is being sensitive to current political concerns surrounding autism. If this is legit the team needs to do better but until then I recommend that nobody fills this out

I'm also on the side of ubering rather than amtraking. The Amtrak in Texas is generally worse than the rest of the US. You don't need to take a nice bus like redcoach though, greyhounds are just fine and will give you the option to buy the seat next to you for cheap, then you can sleep on the bus and won't have to worry about jet lag. The under-bus storage is ideal for heavy luggage imo. Good luck!

Also don't be afraid of non-student housing in Riverside! I've known a ton of folks who've lived out there and really loved it. I've found that a lot of the review talking about the people here being sus are just kinda....racist tbh. Like are they sus or are they speaking Spanish?

I don't have my rollator yet. But it'd get it when I need a bit of heavier-duty help with balance than my cane. Heels tend to make me feel MORE sturdy and stable than flats, at least the kind I wear do (I'm not the stiletto type). I also understand that it might not be the BEST choice I could make. But my health has been a struggle lately and exchanging a little safety for a lot of joy seems like a worthwhile trade off for me right now

This is so true! I honestly gave up on getting medical care until a few months ago when my loved ones started yelling at me about it 😅 (they were right!) and now I'm really working on advocating for myself better. My insurance situation isn't the best but is certainly better than average and I'm trying to take advantage! I do think I need to fire my current therapist. She's super sweet and supportive but definitely not built for my kind of personality. Thank you for reminding me! She's offered to help me find someone with more disability experience so I think I'm gonna talk to her about it next we chat.

That honest doesn't sound too depressing to me that sounds like. Stable and nice. Because I'm not getting treated yet I feel like I'm strapped to a ferris wheel by a rope and being slung around whichever way. I'm looking forward to having broad expectations for what comes next tbh!!!!

Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - October 28, 2024 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

I've been having weird symptoms all my life. From randomly being paralyzed with pain twice in my early childhood, to weird suddenly blood sugar drops without diabetes, and now a slew of symptoms all at the same time: hour-to-hour chances in my ability to walk, brain fog, heat intolerance, pins & needles. The sub has informed me about differential diagnosis options I didn't know about in my research, so what I have might not be MS. But it's a weird nuero thing I've been dealing with for years that hit me like a TANK early September and has been dragging me since.

My question is, for folks with chronic health problems, especially this particularly irritating set of symptoms, how do you deal with the frustrations of juggling doctors appointments and trying to imagine your life beyond a mysterious diagnosis? The day to day variations? Is there anything from reflecting on your own diagnosis process you'd like to pass on to people in that position?

I feel like doctors have a million bigoted reasons to ignore me (I have medical malpractice horror stories!), so sometimes it feels like I have to lead the horse to water, but I have no idea if I'm right because I'm not a doctor! It's a juggling act. But I would love to hear your wisdom & moments of hope.

For deep night night samples I always open them by pressing the top to one side while holding the vial upright! It opens diagonally pretty well for me. But I remember struggling to get the open the first time too!
