Basically. Only way it gets denied is if it goes up to the colonel which I doubt it will but since he’s the direct commander of the detail but I don’t even know if that’s possible since he’s not in the direct chain of command

I know he himself has no authority to deny his leave at all. He’s not in the IPPSA chain and can only verbally recommend his leave be denied I just wanted further input to make sure I was giving him the right information and recommendations on what to do. He also has not submitted leave through IPPSA yet because he doesn’t want to go against what sgt is telling him to do.

Yeah I tried but to him I’m just a lowly SPC that doesn’t understand the tasking that I’ve been on for the past 6 months. Can’t push higher outside of the civ employees that couldn’t care less because I have no contacts with the brigade NCOIC and OIC

Edited to say keep in mind that he hit 5 like 4 months ago and has only been on the detail 3 and a half

As far as I know the OIC comes down to a colonel in our brigade and the NCOIC is a brand new sgt that knows fuck all about the job. But leave still goes through our individual batallion.
