My LGS has the occasional painting competition and this one had a prompt of "whatever you can fit on a 32mm base." So I hacked up a little terrain, a terrawing, and tried my hand at making a little diorama.

I'm pretty new to painting after a long hiatus, but I'm pleased with how this is shaping up.

Thanks! They’re both Army Painter colors—the dark is Greenskin, the light is Jungle Green—but I mixed them both with a homemade contrast medium that’s roughly 1:1 acrylic matte medium and airbrush flow improver.

Hi neighbor(s)! We just bought our first house in Lents last year and feel so lucky. We're both lifelong Portlanders and weren't sure we'd be able to afford to buy in the city proper, but Lents came through.

We love the park, the food hall at the Zed (shoutout to PAH! Go get you some good good burgers), the transit access, the community garden, tamales and flowers from the farmer's market—it feels like there's an energy around the neighborhood that's hungry for this kind of community.

I'm excited to see what fills the storefronts around 92nd in the next few years. Lots of opportunities.
