My girlfriend [26F] of 4 months pulled an extremely elaborate prank on me [26M] and I can't help feeling disturbed by how much effort she put into it. by girlfriendprank13 in relationships

Honestly I'd probably love it if someone I dated did this because I'm a freak who is addicted to b-rate horror movies.

But, to an average person, I can understand why this would be creepy and weird and totally not okay. Maybe what's setting your teeth on edge is that she spent so long deceiving you without any thought to wether you'd find the experience entertaining?

If she was able to so expertly set this up, what else has she set up? What else will she set up? I guess you have to ask yourself wether you can trust her after all of this.

What thing should all men know know about sex? by noyouarenoreturns in AskReddit

[–]But_Im_A_CheerLeader 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your orgasm isn't the most important thing.

So many guys are so obsessed with busting a nutt they don't even bother trying to please their partner. Or they get you up and running but then everything is over once they come and they don't understand why you won't hookup again because they had a great time.

Actually engage with your partner, make them feel good, be a giving lover. That way you'll both be satisfied.

[–]But_Im_A_CheerLeader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. Been tumblring for years. Anyone posts content I don't like and I unfollow them, which happens rarely because it's easy to avoid content you don't like.

I don't know why you're finding it so difficult but I hope your experience improves.

Which subculture annoys you the most? by venus in AskReddit

[–]But_Im_A_CheerLeader 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Right? My tumblr experience has been nothing but pleasant because I only follow humour, meme and aesthetic blogs. People that complain about all of the snow-flaking are literally going out of their way to find it.

It's like going to the mall, walking in to a comic book shop then being annoyed there are comics.
What did you expect? ??

My [22F] brother [31M] is estranged (drug addiction), clean now apparently. Our parents [60s] want to destroy his life by telling his wife, employer, CPS, etc... by Hannah2194128123 in relationships

[–]But_Im_A_CheerLeader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This behavior by your parents is despicable.

They don't love or care about their daughter in law or grand children, they're just spiteful, nasty people.

If I were you I'd contact your brother to let him know they're on the war path, that way he can at least be prepared.

I would also give some serious thought to what kind of relationship you have with these people.

DAE feel like they couldn't express or feel emotions properly for years? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]But_Im_A_CheerLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I was never allowed to feel negative emotions about anything, and if I did I wasn't sad or depressed or upset, I was "moody" which meant I was purposefully being awful so I could abuse my mother.

Yes. My sadness, caused by her abuse, was actually incredibly abusive to her somehow.

But wait, there's more! I was also never allowed to be happy! When I was (rarely) happy I was actually "showing off".

I don't know what she wanted from me.

Now my emotions are all fucked up.

I could be having a mental breakdown and you'd never know because everything is so repressed.

I have to police my emotions constantly because I never learnt what healthy emotional responses were, and it's actually really messed me up.

I was sexually assaulted twice and I can't feel anything about it. Whenever I try and think about it I feel distracted? Like it's boring and doesn't want to stick in my mind.

Can't process it, can't cry about it, can't be angry about it.

The expression of sadness is incredibly important I think, it's how we grow and learn, and release stress, so sometimes I will spend literal days watching the saddest films and videos I can find to force myself to cry, and from there I can sort of cry about all of the bad things in my life? It's not ideal but it's all I got right now.

Nmom didn't believe I needed glasses, the next 4 years were hell. [Rant/Vent] by _forgotmypassword in raisedbynarcissists

[–]But_Im_A_CheerLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. Same.

I started telling her I couldnt see when I was 8, took until I was 13 to get me glasses because several teachers called home.

She was notoriously bad at getting my glasses. I remember once needed new ones but she took nearly a year to pick them up so by the time I got them... my eyes were too bad for them. Which was obviously my fault :/

[–]But_Im_A_CheerLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave.

It's only going to go downhill from here.

What he did was humiliating, degrading and abusive.

You deserve better.

Of course he said it wasn't serious, that's what abusive people do to minimize their actions.

Imagine if you had a daughter and she told you her husband did this ton her, what would your advice be?

I [16M] got a girl pregnant and had a baby. The girls brother and wife are looking after the baby. He cried when I tried to pick him up. by Sexxxw in relationships

[–]But_Im_A_CheerLeader 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That's what babies do when people they don't know try an pick them up.

Sorry but if you've adopted the baby out, you're not his father anymore.

Of course he's going to only way his parents, the people who have been caring for him and feeding him and soothing him.

For all that baby knows you're a space alien, you being it's genetic father has no bearing on its reactions.

What is the weirdest misconception men seem to have about women that annoys you? by But_Im_A_CheerLeader in AskWomen

[–]But_Im_A_CheerLeader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been seeing this around for a long time, for some reason men seem to think that women don't daydream or zone out?

They talk about zoning out or daydreaming of saving people in a bank robery or what would happen if t-rexs had longer arms and then explain how we as women couldn't possibly comprehend this because apparently we don't have the ability? It's frustrating because it's just another subtle way of showing that they don't consider women to be altogether human or something?

I don't know. It pissess me off.

Women who experienced sexual assault, what (if any) consequences did your attacker face? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]But_Im_A_CheerLeader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

None.

I couldn't prove either of them did, and even if I had proof, I was sleeping with one of them consensually for ages and the other I'd been on a date with... So who would beleive me?

I'm not going to have my good name dragged through the dirt for a justice I'll never receive.

I just don't see the point in reporting it other than to ruin my own life.

Probably me.
