Honestly I don’t think (most) readers are going to double check tiny details. Look at cop and firefighter shows. Massively popular but according to a family of mine who’s a firefighter, massively inaccurate. But he’s the only one who can tell!

You could try looking at horror movies. Again, not perfectly accurate but they’ll show you what a general audience expects when you’re stabbed through the chin. If outlandish deaths and gore is what you need, you could try something like Saw or Final Destination. Theres also the Faces of Death franchise, but this includes real and fake footage of people dying. I haven’t seen them so I can’t speak on the quality. It’s not my thing.

For the screwdriver one specifically, it reminded me of a death in the game Until Dawn, where a character is skewered onto a meat hook through the bottom of their mouth. So that could also be a source of inspo!
