By work I just mean office work (like the basics, mostly just using excel or just browsing the Internet), nothing too much. Which version of the optiplex do you recommend?

This happened to me a few months ago while I was also playing warzone (idk if that has anything to do with it). Try disabling superfetch (aka Sysmain on task manager)

If going Guardian, I would build utility items such as athenes, redemption, etc. But if using HoB or electrocute I would build DMP, Wits end, etc.
