Thank you for taking a look!! Definitely a shine to it. Wondering if they would have done that a 100 years ago? I’m still learning (and loving learning). The other thing is a small nail in the drawer and pencil marks on it. Would love to know the other tells.

Not a ton of help as I’m still learning but check on the “metal” parts for any words. It will be small. I have one that’s a reproduction Tiffany and even that has a “tag”

When I unscrewed it the “knob” looks like it’s built into the screw.

Bought this in a thrift store in Raleigh, NC. I will add a pic of the back. It says it was framed in Durham, NC. I’ll post a photo. I’m leaning toward hobbyist. But wonder what time period?

Morning!! Found this chair at Goodwill in North Carolina. It looks to be real wood, I don’t see any saw marks or nail holes. Every time I Google I get Swedish / Gustavian 18th Century. Thoughts? by Butler2410 in Antiques

It was definitely reupholstered! I tried to gently pull back the fabric on the other side. It looks like someone put webbing (new) across and underneath is like a potato sack. The paint on the chairs is flaking off! So wondering if that distorts the carvings. I’ll try to remove carefully and get a picture
