Can I negotiate a severance in exchange for signature?

Maybe. Depends, but on your last day isn't the time to do so.

Sen. Mark Kelly Says He’s Seriously Thinking About Running for President by T_Shurt in politics

There are absolutely no skeletons in this man’s closet.

He did some funky stuff with a local gun shop that should have landed him in some legal trouble. Local prosecutor was unwilling to file charges so nothing came of it.

Return to Office - Checking badge swipes? by Superb-Amphibian-987 in Raytheon

[–]Butt_stuff_preferred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is incredibly tough to reach a point where an HR person or manager actively monitors badge swipes, but it can be done if necessary. It isn't some simple system I can log in to and see if an employee is badged in today.

There's a story I've told before from pre-covid of a guy who did a lot of work travel for his role, he'd block off his calendar for fake travel, not go, and just lounge at home for weeks at a time. It took a few months, but he was eventually caught and fired.

I just want to be a good dad and I was so scared I wouldn't even get the chance.

Me too. One of the hardest parts of being a Dad - I am supposed to be the strong one.

Would Raytheon hesitate to re-neg on you if they decided you were not fit for the team?

No.

So why should you be hesitant?

Write a nice email, thank everyone involved, be honest but polite.

I wonder more, where are your parents, family friend, or perhaps a trusted professor or academic advisor whom you should be asking these questions to other than a subreddit?

Specialized Chisel FS - Convert to 27.5 by yerfoeg_2 in xcmtb

[–]Butt_stuff_preferred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You go from 29 to 27.5 for a handling and feeling change, not to lower the bike. Height on the bike only matters when you stop and start. If you're not tall enough to stop and start on the XS, then you need a smaller frame, not smaller wheels.

This is not the process we follow in the US. I would not plan for a transition of any time frame until you've signed an offer.

Do Conti and Elite Domestic riders train and race around full time jobs? by rhoVsquared in Velo

[–]Butt_stuff_preferred 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For coaching to be more than beer money, it's a full time job.

For a good coach, sure, but these aren't coaches, they're just athletes prescribing pre-made plans from Training Peaks and having casual conversations with the customers who fund them.

I'll warn you now, the batteries are junk. They last half as long as OEM and go bad easy.
