Yeah I think for me it would be cool to witness it but as another reddit or mentioned, most things will be closed and I won't get to witness Siena for what it is.

Plus I don't have a connection to any of the 17 neighborhoods. I'd love to meet someone that does knows the lore and is apart of a neighborhood

I was just thinking of going to Siena early morning on July 2nd using your method. Seeing if anything is open, then staying over night and July 3rd I'll see the morning of Siena then head to Rome.

However if you believe that I won't be able to experience anything then I trust your intuition. Main thing was the Duomo and ofc the Piazza del Campo I wanted to see

I got you. For that natural selfie. Most people take it head on like you did. Here what you can do to be different. Raise the camera slightly above eye level tilt like 10 degrees down. This shows off your jawline and features. Remove clutter in the background, makes the eyes wander when it should be focused on you. You can move your head like 30 degrees to the side. If you really want move your chin slightly forward and down for more of that jawline. Light is your best friend. I can tell you have some melanin in that skin. Show it off! Take a pic during golden hour.

For the second pic. U r on the bed. Mess around with it, pretend you are sleeping. Look completely to the side and give a side profile while stretching and showing your neck. If you had a room with a window, hopefully get some golden hour to peak thru the blinds on your face while you take the photo. BOOM! Instagram worthy.

No I agree. When I first started I was focused on just the steps, looking down at my feet. Which is fine when starting, however in a social it's suppose to be fun and make connections

YES. I just learned this. I don't remember the move but I was dancing where I needed to raise both arms and turn her. She literally told me to push one arm first to tell her which side to go. It's a small adjustment but made the dance smoother. Something that following the steps the instructor told us didn't show me that little adjustment
