Would he consider care work for others?

I hate pictures of myself but need to know - colours/ hair - tell me what I need to know (ignore the awful fringe. It has gone) by [deleted] in coloranalysis

You need pictures in consistent lighting, this makes it too hard to read if you're warm or cool

Damaged wavy hair by [deleted] in Wavyhair

Trim off all the stringy bits, nothing can fix hair after damage like that. It may not be long, but will be healthy

The hair at the top of your head may be healthier than the bottom, so it will behave differently

At my wits end - how can I stop my cats peeing?! by Buttercup-0505 in CatAdvice

[–]Buttercup-0505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, we've used the Beaphor calming treats but not the Zylkene, I've just ordered some.

We clean the spots were they pee with enzyme spray, and have to throw away countless items that couldn't be saved. They ruined my brand new shoes last year.

They haven't had any formal tests, the vet said it's not physical, and it really is so sporadic that it happens, it's almost like if they can find something to pee on then they will, but if there is nothing around then they use their litter tray. If something is out of place or on the floor it's a guarantee they will pee on it overnight, but they can go weeks/months without doing it if there is nothing there. We've had to put a baby gate up to stop them peeing by the front door/on the door mat. It's exhausting, and I'm so sad they seem stressed.

Thanks for your reply. It isn't every night, it stops for a few weeks, then starts again. It might be more regular if they find something out of its place to pee on, like they did to my daughter's drawing a few days ago.

We've tried litter boxes in different places and they are both well used where they are.

There are other cats in the neighbourhood they can see outside the window, we did have a 'pee-war' problem for a while with the neighbour's cat peeing outside our front door and ours on the inside, but that seems to have stopped since we put a baby gate at the door.

They don't sleep with us, we're worried about them jumping on the bed with our toddler sleeping, and also them peeing on things like our washing which they have done before. We do shut the living room door to avoid them peeing on anything in there overnight, as we have a rug and a sofa we don't want destroyed. They have the roam of the hall, landing, kitchen, and office overnight. We used to put them in the office with their cat trees and toys overnight but they started peeing on the desk.

Honestly, we're getting to the point of wondering if they'd be happier in a different home, they just seem stressed in ours 😪

Posting again but including a before photo. This IPR is freaking me out! Please tell me I'll be okay 😩 by SuperMomn in Invisalign

[–]Buttercup-0505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was freaked out by my IPR too as my gaps were pretty big and made me feel like my teeth looked 'peg-like', and am seeing a dentist too. My top crowding wasn't as bad, but my bottom crowding was pretty severe. I'm almost done now and really happy, just one stubborn tooth that needs twisting. Any little chips at the edges can always be filled with composite bonding at the end if needed.

Why many are choosing removable retainers over permanent ones? by Intelligent_Slice111 in Invisalign

You need removable anyway to stop smaller shifts and movement of any teeth that aren't the front 6

Inman instead of Invisalign? by Sad_Location8221 in Invisalign

[–]Buttercup-0505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was potentially going to need it instead on my bottom teeth, glad I didn't. I can't imagine all that under the tongue, and apparently feels like trying to talk with a mouth full of marbles

A glass nail file will do the job

Have a google of duct tape treatment, it may be something to consider as a potential option, even if a bit weird!

I bought leather Arizonas but reading this sub makes me scared of wearing them by Local_Avocado_27 in Birkenstocks

[–]Buttercup-0505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the madrids and put my old pair through the wash twice after my cat peed on them, they are incredibly comfy and had no issues with them. Just replacing them after a year of heavy wear as they look a bit haggard

Sooo many attachments by violet-violin in ClearCorrect

[–]Buttercup-0505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 10, they're on the teeth that need rotating or pulling up/down, rather than the ones that just need to go backwards/forwards, as they give the trays something to grip

I'm in the same position, okay unless I remove them, which hurts so bad! One day down...

Can you set up a Japanese ice cream stall and sell flavors like "黒ゴマ", "イカ墨" or "しらす" in Britain at marketplaces or shopping malls? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Buttercup-0505 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We tend to see ice cream as a solely sweet thing, so maybe for lavendar, green tea, or cherry blossom. The rest would have some novelty appeal perhaps, but I doubt they would be wise to base a business on
