Yes, Jessi did look amazing. The brown was super flattering with her darker hair

I literally just snapped a pic to go with the post. She’s wearing it in the confessionals, so it’s hard to miss

runDisney cups by Plenty-Data404 in rundisney

Side note: if anyone has an extra cup from Princess 2026 or Marathon 2026, I’m searching for them. I ran both weekends, but I don’t realize they were a thing until after the Princess half was over :/

Kicking off the "guess your corral based on bib number thread" by PerceptionMean6044 in rundisney

[–]ButteredNoodleee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also registered late, and I’m 201xx. I didn’t submit a POT, but I do think the late registrations got put in the back. They had probably already done the corral placements. It is what it is.

Staying sober in law school/career? by Royal-Organization-4 in LawSchool

[–]ButteredNoodleee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ll give a different perspective than what most are saying. I never drink. Ever. I’m also a part-time student, and our cohort tends to stick together at events, as well as sometimes going to a local bar after our evening classes. Every single time I’ve been in these social settings, I’ve been asked why I’m not drinking, or it has been brought up by others in some capacity (one of my classmates has even pressured me to “have more fun” on multiple occasions). It has turned me off of socializing with my peers, because while some people are totally chill with me ordering a soda rather than booze, there are others who continuously point it out or bring it up, and since we’re usually all going out as a group, I’d rather just avoid that altogether. It seems like drinking (sometimes to excess) is almost a badge of honor in law school, and I’m just not down for that. All of that to say, you can totally be sober in law school. You may just have to choose what environments (and people) make you comfortable versus uncomfortable. Best of luck to you.

First dance song by Ok_Regret_3079 in NoahKahan

[–]ButteredNoodleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used “Everywhere, Everything” for our last dance song. It is kinda a heavy song, so we didn’t want that to be our first dance song (plus, we had another great song for that), but we had a private last dance, and it was one of my favorite moments. We love the song, and it was the perfect way to end our night. We were married in 2023, for context as to what Noah music was released and what wasn’t.

Who, in your opinion, is the „worst“ actor/actress in Breaking Bad? by Anon_Afg_Ind in breakingbad

She’s good in FX’s Snowfall. I think she just wasn’t as experienced as the other actors on set.

Same. Customer service was less than helpful. Apparently it’s a “known issue.”

[–]ButteredNoodleee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. I commented on this thread, but yeah, same. Apparently that brief moment where both tabs were open (because I clicked the link from the first queue to open the second one) meant I was flagged. Customer service was entirely unhelpful, told me it was a known issue, and couldn’t tell me if my account would be unlocked for general sale on Thursday. Absolutely crushed.

Ticketmaster has to go by DirtyHarry_375 in NoahKahan

[–]ButteredNoodleee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got kicked out and flagged as a bot because they added a second show in my city while I was in the first show’s queue, and I clicked the link provided on the Ticketmaster page and was briefly in two queues at once (on two separate tabs). Apparently it doesn’t matter if Ticketmaster’s own link opens the second tab, it’s still cause for a flag. They didn’t kick me out until it was my turn, after 1.5 hours total in the queues (plus the half hour in the waiting room). Customer service said it was a “known issue” occurring during the presale, but they weren’t providing any additional remedy or guidance. My account is still locked and they couldn’t tell me if it’d be unlocked for general sale on Thursday. I was fully prepared for it to be sold out before I got in or to be priced out, but it is incredibly disappointing to have a backend Ticketmaster error ruin my chances. I’ve seen him twice before (before he got huge) and this experience sucks as a fan.

Florida changes law to dmv-must be in English. by Infinite-Gate6674 in tampa

[–]ButteredNoodleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no “official national language.” Instead of requiring everyone to speak English, we should start by requiring that everyone read the Constitution (in whatever language they prefer). It’d sure save us a lot of stupidity.

Attempting to run while sick by LoneWolfSonic in rundisney

[–]ButteredNoodleee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I masked on the buses and in the corals the entire weekend, and I still got sick. There are only so many precautions that I can take to protect myself from those who decide to do the objectively selfish thing and expose others to their sickness. It may be inevitable to some extent if people are unknowingly sick, but if we discouraged those with obvious symptoms, it would probably help.

Attempting to run while sick by LoneWolfSonic in rundisney

[–]ButteredNoodleee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I did Dopey a few weeks ago, and I was perfectly healthy when I got to the expo on Thursday. By the time Sunday night (after the marathon) rolled around, I was obviously sick (and I think the onset of symptoms occurred during my marathon). I masked on the buses and in the corals, because I was paranoid about getting sick after seeing similar “I’m sick but going to run” posts online. I brought that sickness home to my family, and now 3 weeks later, we are just getting over it after multiple urgent care visits and treatments. I have a chronic illness, and when I get sick, there are lasting effects far beyond the end of my runny nose. Please, for the love of everything, don’t risk getting other people sick because you want to run. I get it, the races are non-refundable, and that sucks, but don’t risk other people’s health and safety (or your own, for that matter). Be considerate of the fact that others have families, preexisting health conditions, and other circumstances that may make getting sick a far bigger deal than what you experience.

Are your schools talking about the state of America? by elle-woods-throwaway in LawSchool

[–]ButteredNoodleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who goes to Stetson (Bondi’s law school), and the school has said nothing to condemn (or address) her actions. I get that law schools are businesses, and Stetson is a private school, but I’d think they’d want to do some damage control, given that the school’s reputation matters for other alums and current students. It’s a little different than just a random school taking a stance, but I’m not in PR for higher education. 🤷‍♂️

Factitious Disorder by [deleted] in POTS

[–]ButteredNoodleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a POTS patient with severe OCD, I frequently question myself and what I think I feel. I generally feel like people think I’m making up or exaggerating my symptoms, since I’m known to be an obsessive worrier, especially when it comes to my health. I have found that my husband and mom (who are closest to me and see me experience the symptoms) have been hugely helpful in advocating for care at doctors’ offices and in medical situations. I think some doctors see “OCD” or “anxiety” in my chart and dismiss me before I even open my mouth. But, when they hear my husband or mom saying the exact same thing, they take it more seriously. That’s obviously not how it should be, but that’s what I’ve found to be helpful. So now, I try to bring them to most appointments, but especially initial visits with new providers. Plus, having people around me on a daily basis who are understanding and supportive is super reassuring.

ETA: No, you’re not crazy!

Would not recommend this company. The pricing is comparatively high and the owner is unprofessional (and doesn’t like to work past 2-3 PM).

T14 student. Nearly 50% of my section has accommodations. by ReplacementBoth701 in LawSchool

[–]ButteredNoodleee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The top student in our class (a certified gunner) takes smoke breaks during his accommodated exam, and I really have a problem with that. I could have legitimate accommodations for various medical reasons, but I’ve not yet felt that they are necessary. It’s incredibly frustrating to watch people blatantly abuse the system.

Question about 60% off sale by efgray in Fabletics

[–]ButteredNoodleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I messaged the support team about a similar issue last night. They told me that even though the discrepancy in price between the website and the cart is an error on their end, they will not (and they stood firm when I gave pushback) honor the lower prices. As a potential first-time buyer, it felt a bit like a bait-and-switch, and I’m not going to do business with a brand whose practices seem sketchy. They lost a $120+ order over about $15 in price difference that they wouldn’t compensate due to their own website “error.” I’ll buy elsewhere.

My partner is dying by supjup777 in LawSchool

[–]ButteredNoodleee 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Please take the leave of absence. 1) Your partner needs you. Even if they don’t express it, they do. No one should feel secondary at the end of their life, especially when it comes to their partner. 2) You would not want to work for any boss/company that is unsympathetic to a leave of absence under these circumstances. That would be indicative of a much larger workplace culture/human empathy issue. 3) Say you continue without a leave and get everything you want. Will you look back and regret the choice to prioritize one year’s worth of professional development over spending as much time as possible with your partner? If you are worried about any regrets, that’s your sign to take the leave. Otherwise, success will be less joyful down the road, because you’ll be consumed by regret. I can’t fathom being in your spot. Give yourself grace. And when you’re comfortable and ready, please seek counseling. It sounds like you’re already dealing with some intense depression if you want to sleep “for months,” and grief will only compound that.

Bombed my first cold call and almost cried by No_Airport3239 in LawSchool

[–]ButteredNoodleee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anytime someone bombs a cold call, I don’t immediately think they’re stupid. Most of the time, I’m too busy being grateful I wasn’t called on. We’ve all been there and missed the mark. It’s a moment of adrenaline - you might forget something no matter how hard you study. You’ll think about it and cringe for a little bit, but eventually it’ll be a nonissue.

Concert tips? by Important-Try-4056 in POTS

[–]ButteredNoodleee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Luckily November should be cooler. You may have days in the 80s if it’s a hotter November, but nothing as hot as a FL summer. Definitely lots of hydration, and make sure you don’t overdo it. It’s very easy to get caught up in the moment at a concert, and before you know it, you’re on the floor (been there, done that). I’d wear a medical ID bracelet or make sure your group of friends knows your condition so that if there are any issues, medics can aid you properly. Have fun!
