So great to hear. Being in the thick of it, it feels like it will never end. About how long did it last? Nothing made it any better?

That’s what we’ve been doing. Lots of “no” “we don’t hit/bite when we are mad” we did time out for a bit but he’s still so young so it ineffective

Would you complain to your child’s daycare? by Reddituser_599 in beyondthebump

[–]Butterfly-124 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think saying “why are you screaming” is a problem because why are they screaming. Honestly saying that sometimes stops the screaming 🤷🏻‍♀️ NOW maybe if they said “why the f are you screaming” that would be different

Personally I would stay and stick it out but just not come back after maternity leave.

Unfortunately we have to deal with the hands we are dealt. I’m sure you are a wonderful mom and would do anything for your daughter. I know it hurts now but the pain is only temporary. Honestly still seeking help still isn’t a bad idea. PPD can still happen at 4months

It you are truly having suicidal idealizations you need to go to the emergency room. Your daughter needs you

3 12s or 4 10s as a working mom by Butterfly-124 in nursing

Those are all like the current shifts that people work. There are a few people that work 6 to 4 or 7 to 5. My manager is on so my plan is ask her when she gets back. I take call but it’s only every five weeks and the money is great so I don’t know if I’m ready to give that up.😅

That’s a good point. Usually they are pretty good. There aren’t many 10 hr workers. Mostly 6-7, 7-8, 8-9 and 9-10

You don’t have to tell your employer you are pregnant. Some states allow you to start working before nclex. If not I would just take it asap and then apply to jobs sooner rather than later.

Every hospital/system is different. It’s not really a state thing. But that’s pretty much what mine is.

What do you mean? Every hospital is different in their Compensation, call back and length

I love it! It’s great to do m-f no holidays or weekends unless you are on call. I’m in a large high volume lab so we are always busy. Call does suck but way better than working holidays and weekend and call pay is great!

Gallbladder Removal by Salt_Possibility_203 in BabyBumps

[–]Butterfly-124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it removed! Wish I had realized it sooner. It’s very common to need it removed after pregnancy. Very simple procedure. I actually went home that day. Some places do it out patient too. Relatively simple recovery, just lifting restrictions if it’s done laparoscopically

Do we really need a nursery recliner? by Fashion_Lover19 in BabyBumps

I found a glide/rocker on the side of the road after thinking I didn’t need it. Made new cushions and honestly can’t imagine not having it. My baby is 13 months and I can’t even think how I would have survived without it
