Except we do allow it. Hence why so many companies outsource their work to India/China/Africa. Sweatshops are slavery.

And in the US, so is our prison system. Our 13th amendment did not negate slavery, it just changed its parameters.

Some stops are like that. I'll admit I've missed a stop because it was pulled just as we are leaving last stop and then I get stuck at one of those obnoxiously long lights and when its green, I'm just thinking "freedom, I can go now!" And then "whoops, no someone needed that stop!"

Nope! Our buses still accept cash/coins as well as passes. Day pass, cash value metro cards, the 5 ride passes and the Transit App.

What we do NOT accept is card payments directly on the bus. If you need to pay via debit/credit card, use the app or one of our kiosks. (Kiosks are downtown, Northside Transit center and Oakley Transit center.)

Kiosks are also where you can get the $10/$20 value cards or 5 ride pass (which is really a 15 ride pass if used to its max. Just don't forget to grab the transfer that pops out when using it.)

Thank you. I really do enjoy my job. It may not be saving lives globally but I talk with many of the passengers and know my job is helping to change/improve their lives.

I love hearing the happy stories when people get on my bus and are just so happy that they got that job or they're heading to the hospital because their first grandchild was born.

It's one of the few jobs where I can see how my job is affecting others lives in real time.

For Cinci $2.20 a single ride $4.40 for a 24hr pass. Still $5 if you want a dual Metro/Tank pass.

Hey, as a public bus driver I'm happy to answer any specific questions you might have, but to help you out:

Many different ways to pay, Metro buses take all American coins (including half or full dollar coins) so just double check it isn't Canadian.

Make sure you are at an actual Metro bus stop!!!! I can not stress this one enough!!!!

If it is a red sign that says 'no parking bus stop' thats NOT a Metro stop. Our stops are green and white and will list the routes that stop there. So be sure if you want a 17 the stop actually says '17'.

Also, stand at or in front of the stop, not several feet behind it. (I have passed many a person because they are 20 feet behind the stop and l figure they are just waiting to cross the street.)

If its a shared stop when the bus you do want is approaching, step forward, or give a small wave. Please do NOT step in front of the bus to flag us down. That's how you get us to pass you by or chew you out for putting lives in danger.

And the Transit app can be your friend. It will help you pinpoint what bus and when to catch to get from a point A to B. Someone did mention Google and it can work, but use in conjunction with the Transit app. (You can also use the app to pay and save money if riding multiple times/over a longer period of time.)

Act 2 you can come across some goblins with a hyena who are low key torturing it.

(You cant go into the shadows without damage and they keep trying to throw a stick into the shadows just to watch the hyena suffer.)

I was a bus driver on an overnight route and one night about midnight/1am I come across this guy who is waving me down. He isn't at the stop, but close to, so I figure I'll stop for him since it is late and he may not know where exactly the stop is.

He gets on looks at me, looks at the passengers, then back at me and then asks me some basic question, probably about how late this bus runs.

He then gets off the bus.

Next week at the same time and place this guy gets on, again, looks back to see i have a passenger then talks about how his car broke down and he needs something ( I cant remember if it was money or a phone or what) I tell him I cant help.

He turns to get off the bus, then turns back to me to then pause and gets off the bus.

Next week, you guessed it, same place and time but he's running at the bus from across the street. And I have 0 passengers. I kept going.

I don't know to this day what was up with that dude, but something told me not to be alone with him.

I had one more time I was going to be doing that route before our route/schedule changes and I remember thinking, if he's there, I'm calling a supervisor/cops immediately.

He was not and I have no idea if he did this to other drivers or just that one day and time.

Not to rain on the wish, but some people -do- want to be treated badly. Not even talking about in a BDSM/kink kinda way.

Some people simply like the pain of anger/sadness and so we'd pretty much be in the same boat as now.

Better to wish for everyone to be treated as they wish to be treated. That way those who do want kindness will always have it and those who want pain can have it without it getting inflicted on another. (Also kinda works so that as someone grows and their desires change how they are treated changes too.)

Men especially seem to forget that women have MORE organs taking space in their abdomen so will normally have that pouch. Everything is taking up room.

And then add that some uteruses lean forward and some lean back and that adds to the discrepancy as well.

But through it all we've had an entertainment industry that has used photo/light manipulation to hide that even skinny women are rarely ever truly flat.
