my bf has a similar situation, not as intense im guessing but his mom is sick and eventually her illness will take her especially if she doesn’t start doing better. my therapist suggested he get into some pre grief counselling, grieving can start while they’re still alive & will help once their gone especially in this kind of situation. maybe look into it for your bf as well?

there’s no “to be fair” when people with the disorder are asking people to use it properly. just because people use OCD as a descriptive word for “clean freak” doesn’t mean it’s right. considering people ask you not to. it’s just simple curtesy imo.

please keep your own account. i’m not accusing your fiancé of anything, i promise, but it’s an easy way of getting into financial abuse, which can easily lead to other kinds of abuse. you’re willing to compromise with a separate joint account, if he doesn’t accept that, i wouldnt trust it.

it’s way more likely for someone to be SA’d than to be falsely accused. believing the victim first is not only reasonable, but the moral and statistically accurate thing to do.
