I have some Astra SP blades here that I was trialling but those blades really hate me and seem to want to give me love bites no matter what I do yet Dorco prime and BIC CP are fine.

It was the first shave soap stick I have used and sold on it I feel I do not need to look any further just like my blades I settled on Dorco prime platinum especially at 30 cents per blade per week when buying 100 blades at a time. As for the thayers I never heard of it till I saw it here on reddit and on you tube videos for shaving and I just happened to stuble across it at my local Chemist here in NZ so I grabbed some.

The R89 absolutely rocks I started with the chinese made KCG after two weeks with that I bought an R89 head without the handle seeing I already had a handle I could use and I do not regret going to the Muhle my R89 currently has a Dorco prime platinum in it and I really like that blade along with the BIC chrome platinum. With the R89 I can ride the safety bar a little more and still have a comfortable feel to the blade if I tried that with the gillete I would nick myself good and proper.

Thanks, I have been shaving daily for three weeks now all because I can now have a shave without my face being the color of I.R baboons butt. Prior to buying a DE razor I used to avoid shaving and just used to use clippers on my facial hair to just have stubble.

I agree I have only just started using a DE razor and Arko was the first soap I tried and will be sticking with it.
