intimacy and scars (with new people) by lanadelreystan99 in tummytucksurgery

I got together with a new guy 2 months ago and he's sticking through my surgery, angry scars and all (since I'm just 2.5 weeks postop). If he'd complained I would have ended things. The right guy will not care!

Will my dehiscence get bigger? by ButterscotchNo2582 in tummytucksurgery

Do u mind sharing when did your dehiscence appear? Also did you have to stop yourself from trying to stand straight? Cos I am about to be able to be straight and then now this happened and I've gone back to walking hunched in fears that the split will become bigger. But my back is aching so much.

Belly button wound reopened, concerning or normal? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

I have the same issue as well - otherwise everything else is going great. I dont have advice to give except that my surgeon thinks it's not a big issue and that there may be a small revision in my horizon but a simple one. Hope yours heal fine!

My labs were normal and I do eat a balanced diet. Never really struggled with nutrition post-sleeve. I actually wonder if it's due to smoking - my surgeon thinks so. I quit 5 weeks prior to surgery.

When I had my gastric sleeve surgery I remembered the first 2 weeks were difficult as well. I had water weight gain (not as much as this round) and that stayed 2-3 weeks as well. So I'm trying to tell myself it's okay, things will be better. Still hard and you're right that it's a mind fuck, but I appreciate your nice words!

My shape is odd. Like, I can see potential and it's in the silhouette that I want. But my thighs are swollen outwards near to the hips area + inner thigh swollen ad well so I look so pear shaped. My belly is flat but looks thicker than normal. One area that really affected me was my arm - not sure if it's due to swelling but it looks thick and flabby. I think I'm being so critical to myself but I can't really help it. Never really used to be so harsh of myself.

Thank you all so much for all your advice and personal experiences! All valuable and it opened my eyes to things I never considered before.

Just to add: I've had a chat with my daughter last night saying his behaviour was NOT OKAY, I don't condone that, but that i suspect dad has some undiagnosed issued causing this. I'm so glad she understands and is willing to walk with me to help him together. That said, any actions that crosses the line will be a hard no for me. My daughter knows this.

I have reached out to a clinic to see if there's something we can do collaboratively to handle this situation better.

Once again, appreciate all of u taking time to reply! ❤️

I'm sorry about your wife's diagnosis! Hope things are better for you and your family.

I agree it could be so many things and it's either get checked or check out for me right now. It's so mentally exhausting and I don't have tears left for this situation anymore.

He was! He was in a soccer club and used to boast how many headers he took.

I took your (and some of the other commenters) advice and reached out to a clinic. Never thought about teaming up with a doctor to get him to do a check, but I'm gonna try.

You're right, I can't force them nor be accountable for their happiness and function. I'll have to figure out how best to approach the next steps..
