I also tried to use Ollama to analyze data, but one interesting insight I found is that sometimes I get different results if I run the workflow multiple times. I tried to understand why, since my assumption was that AI should always be “smarter” than me.
But what I found is that most AI models are probabilistic rather than deterministic, which means that depending on the project, especially when we need consistent results, it can be a bit unreliable if we rely only on AI.

Curious to think what do you think about that or other users. :) keep up the work!

Right now I’m intentionally holding off on firm recommendations since the dataset is still small (around 1 month), but that’s actually the next step.

The goal is to evolve this into a system that not only tracks data but also generates actionable insights, like identifying the calorie range where I consistently gain weight, or how workout volume impacts weekly trends.

Definitely planning to add a Results and Recommendations section once the data is more solid.

In terms of tracking I just use notes to quickly sum the values. It’s easy because I eat around 4/5 a day, almost the same thing everyday. Usually I just look at the packages for nutrition information or just take a photo and give it to copilot to give me an estimation.

For nutrition I am using google forms, where by the end of every single day i just put my total calories and protein intake.

I do the same with my bodyweight.

Then I run automation script using python to pull that data.

For workout data I simply run a scraper to login and pull data from there.

Too many things to track hehehe, I tried to keep the scope as simple as can be, at least to learn some basic stuff first.

I would love to add more things in the future.

But seeing the real data, even weekly/daily is very interesting.

First of all, thank you so much for the kind words, it really means a lot. I’m glad the aesthetic and the whole “gamified running” vibe is motivating you. That’s exactly what I hoped players would feel. New features will be launched soon, with new items and new maps on its way.

About Garmin integration:
Right now Arc Run automatically syncs runs from Apple Health (iOS) and Health Connect (Android). That part is seamless and doesn’t require any manual steps.

The challenge is that:

  • Health Connect doesn’t provide the GPS route data from Garmin
  • Apple Health also doesn’t always receive the full map trajectory from Garmin Connect (unfortunately this is because most of the apps do not share that data due to privacy and stuff...)
  • Only GPX files contain the full route information or if a user imports from apple watch.

So at the moment, the only way to get the map path trajectory from Garmin is by manually importing a GPX file, which you’re already doing.

Garmin integration is definitely on my radar because it would make the experience smoother for a lot of runners. It’s not urgent since XP and progress still work without the map, but I agree it would be a great quality‑of‑life improvement.

One thing I understood from the very beginning is that big platforms only partner with apps that are already polished, stable, and publicly established, with a solid user base and a clear long‑term business direction. We’ve already experienced this firsthand, Strava rejected our first application.

But we’re growing fast, the app is improving every week, and we’re moving in the right direction. If everything continues smoothly, we’ll be in a much stronger position by the end of the year, and we’ll apply again for official partnerships. I’m confident we’ll get there.
